esp if the agw not turning off...

from just what you have stated, seems like the agw is not turning off and staying on to cause the electrical static speaker noises and the agw/amp are combined units, would seem the agw needs to be replaced. surprized your battery isnt dead with the agw staying on??? i believe they still have refurbished units for your model/year.

dealership should have them

the dealership should have them for about $400 approx... i have one but not sure if its the same and/or if you will need programming so it maybe best to check with dealer and find out what their total will be before venturing out and taking a chance on a "used" one. i have 2 of them and both tested fine in my 04 e55. but if you can get a refurbished one for $400 installed/programmed, i would say thats a good deal and if any future problems, just take it back for them to fix.

ok after searching high and low...I was unable to find any rebuilt units or any units under $1,500USD. just called my local dealer and they said no dealership in America has a rebuilt or new unit and only new units are available and must be ordered directly from Germany. he quoted me 2k.

called a dealer in Florida...they said they could order a reman for list price of $340 and it'll take 2-3 weeks from Germany with a 100 dollar core charge. funny thing is their website shows it listed for $255 and core of $91.

thoughts?
