255/35/20 Front and 295/30/20 Rear - WILL IT WORK
Ok, Im getting extremely close to pulling the trigger on wheels and tire.
Im looking at running the following set up:
Front:
- Wheel: 20x9 et32
- Tire: 255/35/20
Rear:
- Wheel: 20x10.5 et42
- Tire: 295/30/20
Im looking at the Nitto Motivo's. I have them on another car and they seem to be a pretty good tire with a very long tread life. Plus the price is unbeatable for what you get.
Can I run this set up with this size sidewall on a non lowered car without any issues? I ran the same side wall size on my E55 and had no issues but they were 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 g-force tires and slightly less aggressive wheel (20x9 et31 and 20x10 et38).
What do you guys think??

On my E55, I had 19x10 et 40 with 275 and zero fear of rubbing even lowered. You are 6.25mm more outward than mine and your tire is 10mm toward the fender more than me. I remember thinking I could use a 10mm spacer to get a more flushed look (didn't care enough to do it though).
So by my estimation, yes you should be able to do it. If it rubs, it will be extremely minor and a easily cleared with a lil roll

I run 255 fronts on my car. But not 295. Biggest ive ran is 285s. Works fine no rubs.

295s are .25 inches / 6.35mm wider each side than 285s, per tire rack specs. Your et42 technically should clear since your wheel is 7mm more inward and tire only 6.35mm more outward. But they still may rub once in motion or when cornering. I'd say et 44 or 45 would be safer if you had to commit without the chance to first test fit the setup.

I have 275/35/18 Pilot Sport 4S in front and 275/35/18 Pilot Sport 4S in the rear. I have had this size tires for the last 5 years.
My car is lowered. I have 18X9.5 wheels in all 4 corners, 40 offset with 7 or 8 mm hubcentric spacers (I can measure the spacers later if any one is truly curious) . Without camber correction I was unknowingly scrubbing the factory Airbag at full turn. Popped a driver side airmatic bag after 1 year. Replaced with arnott which has an aluminum shield around the lower portion of the bag. There's a few minor scratches on the aluminum from full lock backing out of my parking spot but nothing close to serious damage. It worked well this way for 4 years.
However since I've added F1 Fab upper camber arms it pushed the top of the tire out completely clearing the shock at full turn.
I now have 275's in front, lowered, with zero scrub on the fender, control arms or airmatic components. I feel like I have found the goldilox configuration for this wheel/tire and part of me is a little curious to see if a 285 would fit. The camber arm offered me some wiggle room.
