KW V2 first impressions!

I just got to drive my car today after installing KW V2 coilovers, new upper ball joints, sway bar link ball joints, and front K-Mac bushings. I already had the rear K-Mac bushings.

Wow! The ride quality is superb! I am a bit upset about the rear adjustment though. I had to compress the springs in order to adjust them higher. It is sitting a bit lower than I like, and I am pretty much out of adjustment for the rear. I am going to order a few more spring shims for the rear, and install the spacers in order to get another 10mm of height...

I Performed an alignment. I set the rear camber @-1 degree, and the front @-1.5 degrees. Toe settings were set to factory specifications. The car feels much tighter, and has crisper turn in!

All in all I am pleased with spending 4 grand in suspension upgrades! Still just want it a little bit higher in the rear.

The rear adjustment is a huge PITA, it isn't like that on my E46 M3 with V2s or my old E39 M5 with V2s.

I just noticed your thread. Car looks good. Congrats on the new coilovers! Ive been hearing some really good things about this conversion. I just did new arnotts but, if my buddies cars perform well and ride good on the Godspeed Project Mono max coilovers I will go the same route.

If you order the upper spring perches for the factory steel suspension car you can remove a small shim from it. It might be 2-3mm thick.

I love how the car drives now! It is much better than the airmatic.

Rear ride height is perfect.
I'd leave it just like that

211 yours is perfect. Mine has about a finger gap but I run a 285/35/18. I was going to put the factory perches for the steel however I wouldn't have been able to use the adjuster on my kit..
I could prolly use the spring compressor and get another 2-3mm maybe..

I love the way it looks, but It was a pita getting it on, and off of the alignment rack.

I did not use the factory perches. I used the rubber insulator, and the shim that is between the insulator, and the perch. I may use another shim from one of these.

Car looks like it sits pretty nice. Hard to tell without a full side pic but it looks even. Glad you like the way it rides
