Transmission dip stick question

I dropped the pan today, drained a little over 3 liters. I put back in about 3 liters + about 300ML. Checked the level and it was right at the top line at 25C. I had a 30 minute commute home, 10 minutes in the city, 20 minutes highway. Checked again to get my 80C reading and it was still showing at the 25C line. Was it because it was mostly highway?

All the ones I've done have taken right between 3.5-3.75 quarts. You were definitely fully heated up after driving that long.

Am I safe? Like I said its right at the top line of the 25C reading. Any insight as to why it wasn't showing at the 80C reading?

I'd put another half quart in. There may have been some air in the system when you initially checked it.

After I filled the transmission I went for a ten minute drive earlier in the day, pulled back in the shop checked it and it was over the 25C mark. Let my car sit for a bit in the shop checked again and it was right at the top line of 25C. And that's when I went on the 30 minute drive home.

I don't really have an explanation other than I can't count how many I've done and they all have taken more than you put in.

Technically I have put in about 3.5 quarts so far with the 3.3L. If I put in another half quart I'll be over the recommended refill.

No worries, so add 200-400ML?
