Glycerol in the transmission, told to replace radiator (e55 2003) can someone assist
hello i was told i need to do a triple flush and get a new radiator as glycerol has gotten in the transmission and if not fixed immediately it may ruin transmission (already feeling transmission a little rough)
I am in canada and I wanted to see my options on amazon.ca
1) would the Nissens 62796A radiator fit the e55 amg 2003?
Could someone let me know what model numbers would fit for the e55 2003 in the Behr brand and Valeo brand? its confusing to find the model number that fits the e55 2003.
Any assistance on the most cost effective method of replacement would be appreciated given im in canada and selection is limited
2) I am also looking for a steering rack/steering pump for the E55 2003 but i cant find it on rockauto anyone know where to find?
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP

I've had good luck with the products I purchase from pelicanparts.com
Enter your make, year, model, and find your radiator and the available options. If you have questions, give them a call and they'll help you pick the right one. Again, I've had nothing but good luck with them and their customer service is good. They've stood behind their parts for me.

I do believe it does. A few sites say it does. Others like pelican parts run their own part numbers . It's 327. The Mercedes OE 580. I would still do the OE if possible
Also do not drive the car. It's cheaper to buy the parts and rent a car for 30 days than replacing the transmission

thank you LS im going to try that nissen model because it saves 400 bucks
i drove it today and i noticed rough shifting at times, when punching the acceleration it seems to be smooth most of the time. i wont drive it again until i get it fixed, will the triple flush and new radiator fix the rough shifting or im i already too late?

Anti freeze is brutal to an automatic transmission. It will actually take the glue off the back of the clutches and than the clutch plates will come apart. Problem is you don't know how long you have been driving it like that. That being said do flush it out a couple times and see where you stand from there. Good luck.

Considerably less than a transmission.
I'd think a good transmission shop could properly flush it once and be done (including the torque converter) by disconnecting the lines and running nothing but fresh in while draining the old with the engine running and cycling through the gears. Won't be cheap, but again it will be cheaper than a transmission.

this is why I tell everyone with an 03 to check to see what radiator they have and replace it if its the early build ****ty valeo. same thing happened to me and luckily extended warranty from previous owner paid for transmission replacement.
