Wet spot under both front floor mats......

Hello everyone, long time lurker, 1st post...

I was detailing the car and found a wet spot under both front floormats. I immediately thought the AC drain may be clogged, but would that cause water to accumulate under both driver & passenger floormats?

Where is the AC drain on the w211 located?

Any other ideas or suggestions on what else to look for?

Any help is appreciated!

following

My w220 got ****ed up due to a clogged reed valve located in the engine bay in front of the glove box, leaves and dirt caused a backup that caused water intrusion into the passenger footwell, killed off my blower motor and blower regulator.

From searching other forums, the w211 AC drains are on either side of the transmission tunnel. The carpet can be pulled back on both sides and the drain hoses can be spotted. I'll check them tomorrow for clogging. If there are 2 drains, a clog here would make sense since both foot wells are getting wet. I'll keep you posted...

AC drains for the W211 are on either side of the trans tunnel. I pulled the carpet back on both sides and had easy access to both drains. They were both clear and I could see condensation in 2 spots on the ground directly below the transmission. Grabbed a pitcher of water and tested the center windscreen drain by pouring directly into it. It drained ok. I did notice leaves on both edge drains by the hinges. Vacuumed those out and tested with water. I'm hoping the leaves on the corner drains were the culprit. No wetspot during a weekend of driving with the AC going full blast. We're set to get hit by rain this week, so I'll see what happens then. I need to check the sunroof drains if I'm still seeing water......

Rain was pretty light. I didn't see a wetspot so I'm going to point to the leaves clogging the corner drains. Hope I'm right!

Guess it was light in your area. I got blasted. If you get it again, I'll hit my buddy up to see if he has an opinion. I'm sure he's seen it before at some point.
