Yeah, mine was Silver but I don't remember making videos with it. Maybe I did and forgot about it.

When I listed it for sale:

I wouldn't agree to a deal like this and put my name on something if I didn't believe in the people and the business 100% (no comment about VRP, haven't interfaced with them). If you ever have a chance to meet/greet/tour I highly recommend.
Are you the mad genius behind their web platform?

For FCP Euro, to offer a product for sale is to endorse the manufacturer and the fitment for the car.

By the way, have you seen this? https://blog.fcpeuro.com/fcp-euro-en...allenge-season
They have just entered into a partnership with LIQUI MOLY and 034Motorsport. Will be running two TCR GTIs in the Pirelli World Challenge, after having just completed an AER season in their C300!
The latter is one of the most reputable VAG tuner shops I know of, met the people, toured the facility (my daily is a MKVII GTI).

In any event, my sponsorship includes more than what's being sold via www.fcpeuro.com, we have a wonderful working relationship. I've known the people at FCP Euro for almost a decade now.

Right on!! Glad to hear that FCP is moving in that direction. A lot of people speak very highly of them and their products. The Challenge car is pretty sick!! A good friend of mine used to drive in that series
Integrity is a rapidly decreasing quality, in today's world. Good on ya for stating true to FCP.

Classy ride! Love the matching bike. I grew up on BMX. All those skills came in handy when I got a dirt bike.

As opposed to all this common stuff you're doing for the W211 platform?

I've heard that from a lot of people, but technical driving is technical driving. Different technique, different specialization.

However, I can tell you that a grip event episode is definitely planned and will happen. We will get to see how this thing does alongside normal sportscar designed for normal sportscar things.
I'm not holding my breath for anything spectacular, but should hold its own and at least be somewhat entertaining. Pass Miata in a straight, get passed by Miata on the outside, rinse repeat, haha.

I've known that feeling from the other side of the track. been all over the big saloons in my small turbo hatchback around the tight sections only to be blown away on the straights...

btw... don't get me wrong. while i'd rather do other types of motorsport (hill climb is my favorite) i can appreciate the skill required for drifting, especially where the cars are so close together.

i have shared your vids on a German Performance facebook group I run over here in Australia. They've been well received

You're too kind!

Here is what I ran around Northern California for a while:

Wonderful cars, took abuse like a champ, no problems. Very flat torque curve, fit my 6'3" *** with some minor modding.
Fun around town but sucked on freeway and I was planning to get into snowboarding, so decided to move to a FWD turbo hatch as a daily.

they are a lot of fun on the track. just about bullet proof.

as you can see from my sig, most of my last half dozen cars have been turbo charged hatchbacks. the roads where I am now are terrible so have moved into larger saloon cars.

If it helps sway your opinion at all *SDL.
30MPG on the highway after I did a full tune-up on it.

I had fun with it, had a full system in the back, was pretty comfy, but it's totally a weird thing. I get that, haha.

Having driven an '80s turbo diesel W214 many times, I'm not sure if that helps things.

Oh and the VW truck aka caddy. I worked on those things back in the 80s at a local dealership. Body repairs. You could literally remove all the bolts for the fenders and drive it forever and the fenders were not coming off. There was soooo much sealant holding them on it was nuts!
