Crankshaft pulley or Harmonic Balancer wobbly
Guys,
I am having an issue where my car vibrating around 2k - 3k rpm. I've identified that the crankshaft pulley/harmonic balancer has some wobble/play when looking into the engine bay while the car is idling and at 2k - 3k rpm. Here is where I am thrown off.... So it looks like its a two piece stacked pulley. 1130300003 part number pictures and diagram indicates the part as just the pulley closest to the engine. Is the part number the part for both and its just a picture error? Am I only suppose to replace this piece and reuse the "top" pulley. Or replace both or just the top one? What's the part number to the "top" pulley?

Stop driving your car and replace entire crank pulley. It is gonna split and blow apart in pieces and cost more to fix than a new pulley.
I have suffered this, good time to upgrade to an ASP crank pulley
I was quoted $320 for a crank pulley I brought to be installed. I installed it my self
Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer on these cars is one piece. I have a thread some where about it

If the crank (most important part obviously) isnt damaged or chewed up then install new pulley and new key. If crank is chewed you "may" be able to dress it up with a file/dremel and install a new/larger key. Failing that......"maybe" cut a new keyway 180 degrees opposite the old one?.......Not sure if thats feasible but Im sure somebody with more experience may chime in......Im guessing the whole idea is to NOT replace the crank?

You have a pain in the keester to deal with, Yes cut new keyway and weld it to crank. At that point pinning crank pulley to crank is also advised. There are a few "sheared keyway" threads on this forum if you search a bit

Yes there is. There was a kit around for a while. Seems like less are shearing the keyway than a few years ago. BIP was one the the first with Craig's car. Goodluck

I used the wiestec pinning kit with custom longer 6mm hardened steel rods to pin my 185mm ASP pulley to the crank. Worked out pretty nice and after I read that exact thread I bought the weistec kit. Then my crank exploded and I was glad I spent the time to drill holes in stuff for cheap insurance against a damaged keyway.
