Hi...I'm new to this forum....just took delivery of my E55 a month ago here in Hong Kong..Sweet!!!!!

I do have one question, I have a few friends who drive the E55 W211 in H.K and they all said that the brake is not powerful enough for this car....yes..even the 8 piston AMG caliper....
Any suggestions on what would be a good upgrade?
I have been trying to get the uprated disk from the SL55 performance Package, I'll see how that comes along.....

The trick with the brakes is to slam on them hard!

I heard about quite many speed traps in HK, have you thought about installing detectors or laser jammers?

I'm currently using the Valentine one which has proven to be quite useful! Yes..the number of speed traps in HK are just getting rediculous........

What options do you have on your W211 E55? I heard there's still no navigation option in HK?

Very limited brake options at present. Pagid should have a race pad soon and currently has a street pad but so far its performance has not been verified to be any better than stock.

You know i would imagine a set of 380mm Brembos would do the trick, they are much lighter than the stock 8-piston AMG setup which would imporve handling as well.

Willkommen! Why not upgrade your brake system to a Brembo LeMans kit? That would definitely do the trick.

Yeah, Brembo is definitely on the top of my list...I think the 8 piston 380mm brake kit should be much better than the stock ones......right now I'm using Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires on O.Z racing Superlaggera 3 piece....19inch......sweet.....I think grip is much improved compared to the stock Conti's we get here.....

There aren't too many options on the car yet.....I'm currently getting ICE fitted.....Maybe I can post some pics by next week....

As for kleemann i dont think ive heard a complaint about their supercharger on the V8's some problems on the V6's.. But theres no official kleemann dealer here right? I only know one mechanic that has done a kleemann SC installation here, i forgot which car he did...

Kleemann has some of the coolest stuff you can get for your car, I'm not sure (like Tez said) about an official dealer.

Have you thought about the preformance products from Evosport? They have some wicked sick returns!

I know someone in HK who knows the kleemann dealer in Japan really well.......He is going to get me a list of tuning parts for the E55......I'll be happy to share it!!

I still have my stock rims they're just sitting in my garage....
I'm currently getting ICE installed in my car...as soon as I get in back (tomorrow) I will get some pics taken.....

I'm currently getting the ICE done in Happy Valley..A shop called TEA....they are very good.....I think one of the best in HK....they only have one mechanic but he is a veteran ICE installer from Canada....does a really good job...but comparatively quite expensive....well worth the money I think!

Small world! Please say hi to Kevin Catalano for me! I used to visit him when he worked in Vancouver for CarTunes. When I relocated to Malaysia 8 years ago and bought a Volvo wagon, I also bought some goodies from him.

Now that I'm back in Vancouver, I have one of his 'students' install radar detectors and laser jammers in my E55 too, excellent work.
