Lightbulb probably in a week i'll be getting ready to sell the beast

getting window tint redone today, and the keyless go shifter finally came in...
since it's Kleemann headers probably tough to sell in Kommifornia LOL

can't believe i've had this car for 5+ years...

111k miles, impeccably cared for (as you guys know)

pricing seems all over the board - what do you guys think is a fair price nowadays?

$0 in CA unless you put the car back to state in which it will pass smog. Or pass a smog test somehow right before selling it and the let the new owner deal with it in 2 years.

Car free at the moment
So what comes next? I want to know which forums to avoid!

In all seriousness I own one of the bricked Focus ST cars so I might need to buy a new car pretty soon...

an E30 is cheap so you don't have to sell your car for that much. My offer stands.

E30-era M3 could be 30-40k -- i think there were only like 5k made -- classics if you can find one in good shape - i would keep the 55 (its old and cheap)

Not much risk of me ever buying another Ford in this lifetime. It's so bad I am actually thinking of going back to MB.

Really? I doubt he's looking for an E30 M3 as a daily driver.

Toad, if as good condition as you stated, keep the car ! My car is about the same mileage.... and I honest think they only worth about $12K to $14K depend on buyer. Today you can't buy anything with that money. I was thinking to sell my CLS55 and getting $15K offers.... forget it ! I can't find any other toy as fun and good look as CLS55 for $15K !

I bought my 2006 S55 a few months back that's in nice shape but a few dings and scratches being in So Cal for 12.5.. I've spent about 15k since (and that's at wholesale prices!) fixing all the little things and perfecting everything mechanical.. the car runs almost like new and everything on it works but do you think it's value went up more than a couple grand with all that money? I doubt it. They will have to bury me in it to get my money's worth but when you think about it.. where can you get so much fun for so cheap? So I'm in a near perfect 120k 500hp car for a little under 30k.. I think our cars are the most toy for the money really..

Yeah - hard to part with it for $13-14k - it needs nothing... hell i'm fixing the keyless go - so putting $$ into it still to have it perfect

but I doubt it will gain value over time so "do I need the toy" is the question...

Same here. It's basically a weekend car for me. My E63 just turned 80k miles, has over 500hp, is in excellent condition and I'm only about $25,000 into it. It was by far the cleanest one I checked out which is why I jumped on it, but I did pay a bit more. The only thing it needed was engine mounts and those cost me a whopping $130. The car has all original paint on it. Every other one that I looked at had had paint work done.

Luckily my housemate works at an indy shop so labor costs me next to nothing. Some parts are cheaper if he gets them at wholesale, others are cheaper online.

I could be driving a new Civic or a used AMG for the same money. I'll take the AMG any day.
