Hi guys,

I've found an '03 E55 I'm very interested in purchasing. However, it doesn't have dynamic seats, which is something I was really looking for. Has anyone done a standard-to-dynamic seat conversion? Other than the seats, what parts do you need? And I guess this should be the #1 question: is it even possible?

You are looking a 4000---find another rust bucket that has the option, then get ready or a 1000 in repairs(bad bladders bla bla)

My car had dynamic seats. They don't work anymore, so now I have seats that aren't very comfortable.

it CAN be done...
you'll need switch row, wiring harness and possibly some more parts...

I wish my car didn't have dynamic seats! When they work they are strange and annoying.

In my almost 5 decades of taking cars apart, I have found, it is never that easy with modern cars. I assume you have no cooling feature in your car now so it will need to be reprogrammed. MB dealers are not exactly known for wanting to do things like this, so you will either need to find someone who will or if you are do it yourself. I have replaced seats in cars before, you are going to throw a lot of codes, so I hope you have a decent scanner. I have cooled seats in my S class, they are not that good, and certainly not worth the hassle a project like that would entail,

Absolutely love the dynamic seats in the new G Wagon.

While not impossible, it wouldn't be worth it to retrofit.
