Converted to strutmaster kit.
Just did the strutmaster conversion kit, and I'm loving it so far. Rides smother. Eliminated thud/ "dead body sound," going over speed bumps. The kit cost me $1062 shipped to my house, and $520 to install all 4 wheels. Now I could have peace of mind, not having the airmactic struts go out on me when travelled out of town.
Ride height stays the same surprisingly. Overall, I'm glad that I didn't purchased another airmactic struts to replace the front driver's side that blew out.

Front 235/35/19, and rear is 265/30/19. Didn't check for gap measurement. As you can see from the picture above, that was after the installation.

I have Strutmasters, too, and have been very happy with it. Air suspension might be great for the first nine years of a car's life, but after that it turns into a constant cycle of failures and leaks.
The only drawback to a conventional suspension on this car is the loss of self-leveling. On a cross-country trip I had the E55 fully packed and the rear was riding very low (visibly) due to the weight. Still, I went coast to coast with no problems.

Hi, I have a 2010 S550 with abc that I attempted to do the conversion kit on. My car has been down for over 2 months and strutmasters hardly ever returns phone calls and my shop has never did a conversion on my particular vehicle. We reached an impasse, the struts are on and seem to be working just fine. However, the shop can’t figure out how to wire the module to cut the abc light off. Nor can they figure out which lines to cap off to stop the fluid from leaking or where to cap them off at. The parts that strutmasters sent aren’t fitting in place where they’re attempting to cap off the line. Strutmasters is saying their caps are one size fits all and my shop showed me that it doesn’t fit. I’m not a diy guy and have very little knowledge on cars. Can you please guide me so that the shop can finish my car. The shop is trying to figure out what’s not needed now that the Oem system has been replaced. Where to cap off the lines and how to setup the module to remove my the abc lights. Thanks for your time!

I have a copy of module instructions for your type car, your right they don't talk much after your shipment. Best bet is to email kim@strutmaster.com usually got answers within hour
