Active Ventilated Seats

Is it my imagination or do I not feel any air coming through the perforated seats when the function is turned on??

I know that this has been talked about in the past, but aren't you supposed to feel anything??

You really don't feel any air movement, however, in the summer heat I can tell it is working. My back stays dry and cool when the seat ventilation is on. When I turn it off, I can feel my back start to sweat.

The airflow is very slight. It is only felt as a mild cooling in the seat after it has been running for a few moments. It's OK, but certainly not air conditioned seats.

I've never really noticed airflow either. It does seem to help keep away sweating in the leather though.

I Notice you guys don't live in hot climates, not to worry when its really hot and you start to sweat, you will feel the cool air flowing.

I was in Taison's (T Bone) and didnt feel the air really either but what does work for me is the solar panels. Its been great the last few days with this scorcher in Cali.

I can barely feel the air flow when I first get in and the seats are hot. As the interior cools it becomes imperceptible. As noted above, the advantage comes with time, as seat perspiration is a lot less.

Not like my last one!

Amazing! I was going to take my 2004 E55 in for service and, among other things, tell the manager that my ventilated seats are not functioning properly. The degree of cooling I feel is very similar to those described by others here, and DRAMATICALLY less than what I got on my prior 2001 E55.

It starting to get hot somedays here in California, and, when it is, the so-called ventilation (full blast -- 3 blue bars) takes 10 to 15 minutes to make a discernable difference.

I am sorry, but this time, folks, we are not getting our money's worth.
