What the heck is on my dash???
There is a little strip on my dashboard up near the windshield that has 4 orange and 2 red lights on each side of the strip. Below 10 MPH, one light on each side is on. Above 10 MPH, the lights go out. In park, the lights are out. The only time I see the lights all on is when I first start the car (like a self-test).

Does anyone have ANY idea what this thing is? I can't find anything in the manuals or online.

Parking sensors. You have them in the rear as well.

The closer you get the more they light up. Red means you're really close.

edit: There's a button by the shifter that turns off the parking sensors if you don't like them.

Looks like you never park in tight spaces... those are indicators for how close you are to an obstacle

Mine are buggered they always just spam me when i come to a halt I almost never have them on.

If i drive in the snow and the snow accumulates on the sensor mine comes on and the beep scares the s*** out of me every time

i had mine advanced with new types as the stock are pita and there faulty at times .

They angle them to read in strange ways and at times beep just sitting

Thank you. I actually did find this in the Operators manual...must have glanced over it the first time. RTFMMC apparently (Read the F'ing Manual More Carefully )

Thanks! I do parallel park quite a bit, so that will be a nice feature to have.
