Who is the OEM for engine mounts?

When I bought my car last week, it was indicating that it was a couple of weeks past due for B service. I figured it was a good excuse to have my new-to-me car gone over by a tech who knows these cars, so I scheduled a service and asked them to go over the car almost like a "pre-purchase inspection" and make note of anything that needed attention.

All in all, everything looked pretty good. The one thing they noted is that both engine mounts are completely collapsed. I've looked around and it seems like this is pretty easily doable myself, so I'm trying to source the mounts. Wondering if anyone knows who the OEM is for these. Is it Corteco? Is there a supporting vendor that folks recommend I get these through?

Thanks!

Oh also, this dealership is owned by Penske Auto Group, so they used Pennzoil synthetic instead of Mobil-1. I noticed that they use 5W30 instead of the called for 0W40. Is this ok in these engines, particularly with winter coming here in VA?

As i know; "Lemförde/Boge" are the only officials for MB mounts till 2012,,

but not that sure, if they still have agreement contract with MB..!?!

Depends what type. For Pennzoil, the only one on the list that meets 229.5 is Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w30. I'd prefer either a 0w40 or a 0w30 for winter, but the 5w30 is probably ok as your winters tend to be a bit milder than mine.

I have heard several poor reviews on the Corteco mounts. FCP Euro sells OEM mounts for the car and they have a lifetime warranty. I am about to snag a set too. The "true" OEM mounts they offer are substantially more expensive than a Corteco mount but from all I've read, they're the best route to go.

Lemforder mounts are best and are located here.

I haven't done mounts on a 211 however this tool is supposed to make life easier

I need to do mine as well, 10 years on the originals is no bueno.

Kyle, which do you recommend for the W211 E55? Your site has Lemforder, Corteco, Febi and Genuine MB all listed.

Lemforder makes good mounts. Used them in my old E55 and my current E63 with no issues.

Thanks Kyle. I assume the left and right mounts are the same part / part number, so I can just buy 2 of the same unit?

Engine mounts are not side specific 2 of the same unit are what you need.

Thanks! I placed an order with you earlier today for 2 plus the Corteco trans mount (seemed to be the only brand you carry).
