Finished my MBH midpipe

So finished my MBH midpipe today i installed my 3in high flow stainless steel obd2 cats and also decided to install vband clamps at the headers to cat. The cats came with a 5 year/ 50,000 mile warranty so hopefully they dont blow out hears good things bout them.

Got it all done up nicely an sounds great an now is emissions legal. Had to lengthen the factory rear 02s not fun but went fine. Will be eliminating the rest of the clamps as well an welding them and adding more vbands to make ease of install and removal.

Next step is to replace the factory resonator with a magnaflow unit an install the c63 mufflers i think then itll have the nice sound im wanting.

Why not x-pipe? How much HP do you lose with race cats? Some say cls55 muffler better than c63 muffler.

well they are high flow an frankly if butt dyno is any indication it doesnt feel any slower at all. And i may still add an xpipe havent decided honestly havent seen any real world data to back it up. As for the mufflers ill check out the cls ones as well thanks

Actually you'll gain with high flow cats in the low to mid ,,These cars need a tad of back pressure.

I added Mike's X-pipe to my MBH LTs for a much better tone. The CSA @ his merge is a work of art.

I bought my car with kleemann headers and no cats and honestly I don't like the way it behaves. It has a weird hesitation at low RPM when i give it more than a slight tap of throttle but less than half throttle. If I give it 15 to 30% pressure on the pedal it has a weird hesitation and then a huge BURST in power. Really not fun for a daily driver. I don't know if that's the behavior of losing the cats or if it's from the ECU tune that was done on the dyno by the shop that did the exhaust work. Either way, I hate it.

Second, I absolutely hate the smell of the exhaust. I have to make sure I immediately turn on the recirculate button on the climate control. Otherwise when I'm sitting in traffic I will almost immediately smell really stinky exhaust on the interior and I have to drive with the windows down for a minute to get rid of the smell. I can't roll my windows down or else I will smell like car exhaust when I reach my destination. It's really annoying and absolutely NOT worth whatever power/sound was gained by deleting the cats.

Would I need to do a similar mod to fix this issue?

honestly my exhaust wasnt to bad without the cats ..... a lil noticable but not bad. With the cats in dont smell it at all anymore.

as for power delivery .... my car runs amazing with an without the cats hasnt done anything bad it runs awesome ..... throttle response is outstanding an goes like a raped ape.

I'm de-catted too, with PB5 long tubes. The smell really isn't great at all. But I have zero drive-ability issues at all, throttle response is on point, no hesitations or stumbles.
