The inserts that come stock are black and I had one split down the center after about 8 months and 4K miles. Glad the clear ones come as spares. How much firmer are they compared to the black ones? I haven’t noticed any harsher conditions but concerned with mileage. Have you had any of the clear or red split? How many miles are people getting out of them?

Thanks. You guys are the best. Super easy to replace and can’t say enough good things of the mounts. Seriously took me less than 30 minutes to take out clean, take pictures and replace.
wanted to bump this post as I am looking to be putting a set of these on my car in the near future. I have a 507 edition FL 204 and am starting to get a bit of the vibration at startup and cold idle; for those of you who have done the install, and preferably done so with headers..how complicated and difficult is the job? just trying to plan accordingly, I am running long tubes up front as well so just trying to know what to expect.

that's a shame...makes me feel glad I went with black series mounts now versus previously wishing i went with ECE. hopefully they have resolved the issue with the materials.
Well i guess the mounts were short lived. Im glad i went with creative steel.
yeah heard of creative steel. On reading some reviews, people stated to feel vibration in cabin at idle and initial motion. Since mine is my daily and mostly stop and go traffic was second minded.

oh okay. Maybe I'll also do some reading of the clk 63 black series mounts. They shouldn't have the vibration issue plus they aren't hydraulic filled like the current ones.
