E55 Highflo cats? catless smell horriable
Ive been running a Catless longtube setup for a year now, i do not care about the smog and emissions talk I'm concerned about my health lmfaoo. My engine is old i think the valve stems are getting old but anyhow its a old 500+whp smoke machine. Can anyone give me some advice about the 200 cell Thunderbolts, I'm afraid my car makes too much power it will just blow through the cats. does anyone think they can last me at least a year because i plan to v band them and swap if they go bad.

Someone online claimed Kooks green are capable of meeting the health, smell, EPA, OBD, and performance needs, even in SL55
I am yet to verify, but I am very much considering mid length headers and pair of these Kooks,
These are the vids I saw, but I have not seen the end product yet

Kooks makes high quality parts, the magnaflow and flow master ones have a few customers online complaining they came apart. I think the kooks are rated at 600hp for the cheapest ones.
the import folks use some other ones but the price was crazy when I was looking them up, but I’m sure they are nice.

Ive got 400 cell high flow obd 2 cats on my 530 rwhp 03 e55 with the vbands and mbh long tubes. They are suppose to be 5 year warranty cats and they did not hinder power at all. The smell went down and so far they seem to be doing fine, its been a couple monthes an its driven daily an hard often. As for longevity well time will tell but so far doing pretty good.

This is what the current setup looks like and theres a few new changes Im doing soon, I have some more vband clamps and I have an xpipe that will be added as well as removing the resonator and installing c63 mufflers and getting rid of the clamps and installing the vbands.

Awesome feedback, Thank you
If these are 49 state legal, and they dont cause CEL, then either these are unbelievable deal, or Kooks are offensively overpriced...
Do you have cat monitoring turned off?

200 ,will be good too will throw cel -8whp loss
400 ,will be good for inspections and won't throw a cel.-13 whp loss at times more depending on the brick used.
As far as greens go nothing can touch them as they can hold 900 whp with virtually no whp loss.
