Here's a certain adrenaline rush...
If you wanta go real fast...its gota be Talladega Superspeedway, where the big boys swap paint. I did the Petty Experience for 8 laps with fastest lap of 163 and change which put you over 170 on the straight away. My wife was videoing so I tried to get close to my instructor coming past the stands. He would wave me off each time. They told us before hand, if you pass your instuctor, you go to the house post haste.
Fun part is that they let 8 cars on the track at one time. Some lady drivers were there driving Miss Daisy, so we could pass then like a south bound freight train.

Petty and others go to all the NASCAR tracks....you can go the the Petty website to see the schedule. Thing about Talladega over the others is you get to go faster. At Atlanta, because the track is shorter the fastest average lap is around 130. They come to Talladega in the spring around March and in the fall around Oct. You can do anything from 8 laps to a whole day ranging from $500 to $3000. Its one of those things that if you love the smell of burnt rubber in the morning you need to do it just once.

Great job of tailing the instructor, that's the key to fast laps, they'll push it if you push them.
I did one (called Team Texas) at Texas Motor Speedway, top end 150. Since the chassis is built for the banks and track, it was something less than exhilirating. When I mentioned it to the owner, the response was, "You'd probably be better off with our day long instruction course." That course was $2,300.
Yours looked better than the TMS event
#11 on the AMG Challenge wait list.

At the AMG Challenge, we topped the E55 out around the Daytona trioval. Driving that car at 157 was pretty scary as we hit the bumps around turns 1 and 2. How bumpy was Talladega and how did the winston cup car feel at 170? You clearly had a cool instructor. Awesome time I bet.
