Quick question...is there any problems with removing the under hood liner and hood vent assembly? The reason for my question is that I read somewhere that when these are removed you, 1 remove some heat and allow some of that hot air to be removed through the vents and 2 it allows the SC to be a bit louder (which is the main point to my question lol). I'll be doing some K&N drop in filters very soon which I know will help with the SC whine.

I put high flow dry filters in mine and no change in sound, I just removed the baffles and cut the insulation back a little. The filters in my opinion did not make it louder or change the sound at all.

It will probably do nothing but feel free to try it and report back! I've read the same thing, or maybe it was a video, not sure.

10-4! I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have an issue with water when it rains like when I'm washing the car.

So drop in high flow air filters didnt seem to help with the SC sound? I figured it may since the car will breath better. Did you at least get some better gains?

So just wanted to give an update. I pulled the liner out and removed the vent block and tbh without a heat meter I cant tell a difference in temp BUT what a difference in sound lol. When driving you hear the SC building up and it sounds like a jet taking off lol. I love it! At some point I'll get some K&N filters to drop in and see if it makes a difference but till then I really enjoy the sound. I currently have the 2nd cats removed and the resonator removed and changed to 2 individual pipes in its place so at an idle the car is still quite but now at WOT it's a pissed off jet looking to kill the next Carmeo or Mustang lol.
