I got primary cats removed but shop refuses to give them
shop I got my exhaust done at refuses to give me my primary cats. He wants me to pay $100 after he damaged my bumper/side skirts. Deal was $220 for both and I agreed he told me cash only. Time comes to pay I gave him $100 cash and told him I’ll be back. He took the cats and said because of two small scratches you want to pay $100 clearly after I said I was coming back. Now he took the cats and told me he doesn’t want my money

Got my cats, he threatened to charge me $200 to get it back. I didn’t agree, took the cats and walked away. He then came up to my face recording and started opening my door. Hes lucky he listened to my wimpy command. Only because the fact his wife or mother was there

I'm not surprised that you'd run into this problem. Any shop that's willing to remove them probably isn't that smart to begin with as there are some hefty fines associated with removing them. Just tell him that next time you'll report him if he gives you any future trouble. Or just report him for fun. Maybe the rest of us will appreciate it as we also enjoy breathing clean air.

there’s absolutely no other side lol. Self-induced? How-so? Because I went to a exhaust shop. He was shady from the get go. I 100% blame myself for going to him. Moment he put my car on lift to check it out, this little short Mexican dude just gets my bumper stuck lol. It doesn’t matter, he doesn’t deserve to own an exhaust shop after this. Hope the fine breaks him down, talking about I have to pay 2x extra ($200) to get my cats back. You fool. Lol

So true but it's to bad MB Forum has gotten to this point of a venting board. I learned and applied many many mod's that where answered or picked up from some great knowledgeable guys that have all but disappeared do to the direction this forum has gone. Remember those 10 and 11 second guy's with great ideas ? It is now clogged with post's that have nothing to learn from. I mean really....7 pictures of a shop putting a car on the lift? Complaining that you / they knowingly removed your cats and say the shop will "get in trouble" but your the one that brought the car to them and your the one that's drives around like that. So in hind sight ..don't commit a federal offense and bring your car to these guys and then continue the offense knowingly for thousands of miles afterwards.

After trying to buy e55 bumper from w204_racing where he changed the price three times and all the drama wasn't worth it. You are not the easiest person to deal with and this is after one interaction. So the muffler guy may not be fully to blame here eh? Never had so much trouble trying to do business with someone.

You are not the easiest person to deal with and this is after one interaction. So the muffler guy may not be fully to blame here eh? Never had so much trouble trying to do business with someone.

asks me to send an invoice stating to worth $75 so customs isn’t expensive
initially told me he’s in miami
later tells me he’s international
wants me to drop it off, wasted my time saying it was too much $570 total customs etc when it comes with literally everything.
so Yes I wasted as much time as I could with him 😂

The Caribbean isn't one place and if the shipping was the problem why then drop the price then to carry it back up and then back down and from the begining I told you I was from Barbados but I have a shipping forwarder. Now I hope everyone sees why the muffler shop gave you such a hard time. Like I said, you thought I'm sketchy, because I wanted to use paypal to protect the transaction because you couldn't trust my honestly yet wanted me to wire him the money before i even saw the bumper in person. Some people like you do not deserve a Mercedes. BET you drove a Honda before this. I don't regularly participate and this is why. I just read what makes sense. regarding the exhaust shop, I did go it have it modified. Actually many members on here have gotten cats removed. But again, if you damage my vehicle twice, then attempt to steal my catalytic converters you think I won’t get pissed? There’s literally no other side to the story? “You pissed him off so he damaged your car” is that what you want to hear 😂

What's wrong with shipping to a freight forwarding service? I've shipped to them easily hundreds of times for my work and have never had an issue. I like shipping to them due to the fact that if an item gets damaged in transit it's on them, not me. Nothing shady about someone outside of the US wanting to use one of those services. It's actually a very common thing.

I'm in CA so things may be a bit different. Back in my 5.0 Mustang days (very late 90s, early 2000s) a friend got busted for not having cats on his car. $2500 fine.
