2006 E55 AMG radio swap DONE and nworking
I have completed the FREENAVI radio upgrade to my 2006 E55. Using the fiber optics connector. I have full function. It took a 4 hours to get it all working BUT no need to wire the car. NO wires to the rear amp. IT does work with the correct install. Any questions let me know!

This is what I bought works great. I just leave it plugged into my aux and turns the radio into bluetooth.

I don't believe there is any ways to get bluetooth to stream music on these models. Unless there is some magic you can do with STAR or something, I have the puck and there in my 05 and there is no music streaming, call audio only.

the install was not worth it to me...
freenavi was 400$
xtron optics $100
3 hours to get it sorted out
a shop would charge lots of hours
