Thanks for the link to the article. That powerplant is very nicely done. I look forward to a custom coach builder to put that in the middle of a two seat supercar.
The group that designed that engine should have a blanket party for the people that designed the exterior.

yeah j-dub everyone is jealous of a car they have never driven
You troll get out of here. You are 17 and claim you own a m5??? In england i believe the driving age is 18 so go and get a drivers license first. Oh and the last m5 was great, was so good about it was how nice it looked. Pitty the new m5 looks bad.

The M5 delivers an almost jerk-free performance when accelerating from a standstill to its top speed.
The so-called hill detection adjusts the shift points on gradients and descents. This prevents gear hunting when driving uphill. When going downhill, the hill detection holds the lower gears for longer in order to make effective use of the engine's braking power. In addition, with the gearbox in D mode, gear selection is adjusted to the steepness of the gradient.
Sorry, I prefer the muscle car AMG vehicle with its ultra smooth slush box. The Mercedes automatic locks its T/C in every gear making T/C power loss a thing of the past.

The SMG is great. What, you've never used it? Don't worry you'll get used to it. That variable ratio steering is the latest thing. What, you don't like it? Don't worry, you'll get used to it. (I bounced off the curb leaving the lot test driving a 545 with it.) See this, it's called IDrive. Don't worry, you'll get used to it. The styling? (My local BMW dealer says it's a good thing to be so controversial. It proves you're pushing the envelope.) Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Horsepower all at the top of the curve so you have to drive around with the revs up? Don't worry . . .
Drove an E55 3 weeks ago. It felt right immediately. I ordered mine in black opal.

Get a life little boy. Yeah, it is nice to have a new M5. But, I think it is even nicer to have a SL65, CL65, or SLR. I know, BMW use to be on top in the engine department with 400 hp blah blah blah, this and that, and M5. NOT anymore Jose!
AMG is now on top, and BMW have to catch reallllly fast.

AMG's are top in performance but not in their engines. BMW use more new technology to develop their engines, its hard to admit but its true. It would be easier for BMW to start producing engines the same way as AMG than for AMG to start producing engines as advanced as BMW.

I really wish benz would get off their *** and build some better engines, all of their engines short of the FI's are seriously outclassed by ... everyone else. I'm hoping their new 3.5L V6 will breathe some life back into their line, but it doesn't look like it.
