The 55 or 63?

I personally would love to see a modern AMG trans bolt up to a M113K I also would love to have the blipping throttle feature in my E63, that was standard in the C63, that I used to own.

To me, the 55 and 63 are made for much different purposes. The 55 is a straight line speed eater while the 63 goes more sport sedan mode. Extremely fast in a straight line still like the 55, but if I was thinking about the 63 in the first place I would be cross shopping it with an E60 M5 instead. The reliability of the 63 is Lexus level compared to the E60 M5, what a nightmare. But for some reason, I still want one lol. Anyway looking at your CLK55, it seems to me like your decision is relatively easy. You're a 55 man all the way.

2007 Mercedes E63 AMG
if you were to ask me....would you want a 500hp naturally aspired V8 or a 500hp supercharged V8 and you wouldn't be able to mod either...i'd choose the NA. to a car nut....not an enthusiast, NA all the way if not planning to mod. to throw a wrench into it...i was on the hunt for a CLS55 but wasn't able to find any at the time. settled on a E63 after driving it. the M156 is pretty glorious and sounds amazing.

I absolutely love the M156, so much I've had three AMG's with this engine. Besides leaky valve covers, no major engine issues, all were great engines.
I'm taking my car in tomorrow to replace a faulty drivers side rear door handle (Keyless Go) that has stopped working.
A fluctuating third brake light, a trunk that fails to open and close using either the button in the car or on the trunk.
Which we determined is a broken wire in the left trunk hinge wiring loom. And my right exhaust tip that is now starting to rub on the CF rear diffuser after 2 yrs of absolute bliss. These are the small issues that I deal with on a 12 year old AMG.

Unrelated guys, but I had a heck of a reality check this evening in my 996TT. A Charger (Hellcat) pulled up beside me, it looked like the rest of them so I thought nothing of it. Suffice it to say the first time I came across one, I caught a glimpse of the emblem. Pretty sure I was shifting to 2nd whilst he was back home making popcorn.
I’m still a bit lost for words and baffled by the power of that car. Do the Europeans currently offer a rival remotely close to the price point? Things are getting serious!!

Not at the price point. You US guys have some pretty crazy powerful domestic cars with good value for money. There is always something faster, but does it have a comfy E-class interior!

Horsepower is what matters these days. Looking forward to seeing an MB put the car in its place.

This should be an equalizer for your 996. http://www.evoms.com/Porsche_996_sig...96xxxgt700.htm
