Blak with berry red/black interior and deviated carpet would be strong.

The appearance of the front end looks very photoshopped.

*start sarcasm* Yeah those S2000's have a seriously sweet tranny! *end sarcasm*

MSport may make 'better' engines, but in this case, it's not just about the engine but the total package. Why else would someone get a four door rocket sedan? I seriously doubt it's just because the 'engine was better'.

Because it laps the Nurburgring faster??? LOL.
Its not like the M5 has the comfort (or lack of) of an EVO. It still is a luxury car at heart... just like a supermodel on steroids, sort of....

Heh, loved that supermodel analogy

Not because it lapped the ring faster, I was referring to the statement about MSport making 'better' engines then AMG.

Heck, by all means, having a two year lapse, they should not only be able to beat their older car, but the newer offerings as well! Kudos to BMW for making a car that's not too powerful that it eats the E55*W211 on paper, and not too weak that it doesn't even appear to offer any competition. All we can do is wait till the real offering comes out into the hands of folks like you and me. Actually not me, because I don't think they'd allow me on the track

I think this Caddy looks better.

I saw it in the heart of Atlanta. Looks pretty cool in person.

10 years ago, AMG was making a N/A 7.4 liter V12 putting up some impressive numbers (565hp). I guess BMW engineers are just a decade behind?

I like the interior, but I think that the outside qualifies as FUBAR.

Although fla$hy, the larger deep rims help this car look much more agressive than in stock form.

I don't think the M5's engine is anywhere near 7.4 litres and it has 2 less cylinders.

Of course it is. My post was in a direct response to his query of "can anyone mention a mb engine that produces 500 hp natural aspirated engine? if there arent, i think M cars engine are better..."

2002 BMW M5
we all know BMW and MB take different approaches in the engines for their performance models. I think BMW take to the engineering side fo things much more and seem to take longer in production and seem to be very precise. MB searche sfor immense power in anyway they can, and it works!
