Is there any COM/NAV update for the 2009s?
As of now going all out and replacing the COM console with an aftermarket setup looks like my only option to get full functionality and usable nav, but thought I'd check and see if it's worth bothering with a potential update and then using the 30-pin to BT option to keep the stock console. By all appearances there's simply no fix that allows us to use BT audio on the last of the 211s. It seems like Mercedes/BMW/etc., are failing pretty hard here when it comes to being able to keep the factory goodies up-to-date. The dealer is also saying it will be the $160 diagnostic charge to come in and check, and I'm not much for throwing money into the air for no gain. Any feedback is appreciated.

does the NTG 2.5 have an Aux audio in? if so i'd recommend adding an external bluetooth module that plugs into the Aux port.

Just wondering what cable you got for this. Their website says specifically that it's not intended for use with any aftermarket cables, they don't sell one of their own, and I don't have the OEM cable, hah.

Just the oem dual iPod/aux cable in the glove box. You can find those used on eBay as well

Does this allow for voice over the system? Right now my AUX cord is plugged into my phone and I take my calls through my phone mic and car speakers. Users on the other end complain of echoing and choppiness, that's a given. Wondering if this Carpro system does calls via Bluetooth instead?

Got the Carpro and the accessory cable in without issues and the sound is glorious. As mentioned on Coolstream's site all functions work with Android devices but you won't see the actual track listing, etc., because the COMAND system is coded to recognize the info from iOS devices only. Definitely was the best way to go, though since the factory system is plenty loud & punchy for my tastes. Much better experience than trying to use an awkward BT to FM transmitter and waaaaaay better sound quality. Do wish I could get the Nav updated, but I'll survive.
