New member! 08 e63 performance package carbon trim!
Hello!
im picking up an 08 iridium silver e63 one owner 91k miles performance package carbon trim.
Done allot of research and now what I’m in store for and feel like im
choosing a very well maintained pristine e63.
how worried should I actually be about headbolts?
I was looking I to third party warranties is it truly worth it?
any tips or recommendations with the new car?
pics to come for now here’s a window sticker!

Welcome to the forum! Your E is certainly packed with options. You’d be best posting your questions in the AMG E-class forum where other owners/members can give you advice. Please upload a photo when you get a chance. Good luck with it.

This car is very well optioned. I'd get a pre-purchase inspection before buying. That is what I did when buying mine. In fact I ordered 2 PPI in two different places just to be sure. I haven't done head bolts myself yet, but thinking about it just for peace of mind.

If you can get a comprehensive warranty get it, as your vehicle ages little things to start to break or fail. IMHO....the whole head bolts saga is overrated.
But if you plan to keep this vehicle for a long time, having the head bolts done is great long term insurance. Oh and read the fine print of your warranty, to ensure certain things are covered or not covered.
I would have all fluids done; engine coolant, brake fluid flush, transmission flush, rear differential flush, power steering flush unless you have records confirming these services were completed recently.
