Cylinder head compatability

Anyone have any info on cylinder head part numbers? I have a 2005 E55 and got ahold of a pair of 2005 SLK AMG heads with casting number R1130161601 and R1130161701
Spring code is the same as mine with red/white and I believe valve size and metal meterial is the same. Will these interchange? They look the same but original heads are still on car so can't see casting number.
Thanks

The SLK 5.4s is extra high compression. Otherwise pretty much all M113s are mix and match?

Yea the chambers look the same so compression was made up with the piston. Also I thought I read the valves where something special as well in the E55 or any supercharged engine.

Do you know if they flow more Or would produce more HP on a m113k?

After some reading it does appear the 5.4 NA does actually have different heads and a more aggressive cam. A boosted high comp 5.4 has been done to some success.

coupesedan ...read that thread start to finsh years ago and just did again. Rockthemullet does not really get to much in depth on the cylinder heads but it looks like they are interchangeable. I bought a set just to play detective for my end of year project and thought it would save a lot of time to prep the heads and just bolt them on when the time comes. Right now I am just replaceing the valve springs with comp cams beehive springs, chrome moly retainers and ferriea keepers to get more rpm and valve stability as recomended by Sirboostalot. No more valve float , more boost and more rpm !!!

I have no clue about M113, and it's probably a bit off topić, but I know that in PWC world in Yamaha jetskis, a lot of people fit the 1,8HO (N/A engine, more agressive cams) camshafts to the 1,8SVHO (superchargerd) engine with success, getting more performance.

Well I am actually looking to see if the heads I have are the same but just different part numbers.
Performance wise is not an issue if they are close to same plus they will be ported before they go on.

The heads are different and not well suited for the m113k. The exhaust port is not the same

yes you’re wasting your time and $ with n/a heads. Port your m113k heads, buy a used set of
heads so your car is not down.
