SL65 Wheel Value
What are you guys paying for SL65 wheels? I have seen a set of refinished CL65 selling locally to me (Seattle) for $3k.
I have the set that is pictured for sale for $1k and am not getting any hits which is surprising. They need to be refinished and one rear has two cracks.
What have you guys been paying when you find them?

I paid about 1.6k for mine shipped and I needed to refinish them myself. But your price seems to be fine to me. Although it may be because of the cracks in the rims as some people may view it as a keep away sign. You’ll find the right buyer. Have you tried listing it on here and other sites like Facebook, craglist, eBay, etc?

I have not made a post here yet. I like people coming to look before buying. It is just one rear wheel with two cracks.
i was thinking I could get $1500 as they sit. I only have them on Craigslist locally. I know they are some of the best looking wheels around and hard to find.

How much does it cost to fix them? In Europe a new set cost around 5k € so refinished should be around 3k? Common sight on eBay.de around that price.

This place is a joke.
Craigslist is a dump any more. Offerup is full of flaky buyers. Facebook marketplace seems to be ok, although I've noticed a lot of old ads that shouldn't be there any more. I think the cracked wheel is your problem. Also, the economy isn't exactly great for everyone and prices on used items seem to be dropping. If you haven't had any offers, your price is too high. Aggressive pricing is what makes things sell at the moment. I'm not in the market for these wheels, but I wouldn't pay more than $500 or so myself. You can buy a brand new set of wheels for $600 or less, that is the reality of things. Also, these wheels will likely be installed on older MB's, so keep in mind what kind of financial resources a potential buyer will have when he's driving a 10-15 year old MB with over 100k miles. $1500 for used wheels on a car worth $4-12k....

In my opinion, those are not the kind of wheels you can sell locally (unless you live in SoCal). Not enough older Benz enthusiasts in one area usually.
