Wheel Offset for 19”x8.5” & 19”x 10”?

Hi there. Wondering if anybody might be able to help me. My car is stock and I’m riding on 19”x 8.5” (245/30/19) FRONTS and 19” x 9.5” (275/35/19) REARS.

Would it be possible to fit 19” x 8.5” et30 offset and 19” x 10” et48 offset on my girl? If possible what size tires?

I’m thinking that et48 in the rear is insurmountable. It would probably need significant spacers that would negatively affect axel bearings. These wheels are so nice and such a great price that I thought I should ask just in case they might work.

The stock wheels on the CLS (same platform as the E Class) are those diameter and width front and rear. The offset for the stock 8.5" is 25mm and the rear 9.5" 28mm. The front at 30 will fit, i jsut don't know for the rears at 48, but my gut tells me it should work. There are lots of posts here dealing with all of this. Search is your friend.

Thanks for your help. I’ve been searching for a few days now and have nothing to show for it. I will continue looking though.

those are very safe offsets and widths...you'll be fine. you should be able to run 255's in front and 305's in rear with those specs . you might be able to get away with more in the rear probably 315mm, but you'll have to do some more research to determine that as with my own car is limited to 285's due to width and offset being more aggressive.

at your sizes the width of the rim is also a limiting factor because your tires might bulge over.

You just made my month. It’s been a bad one and I can’t take the wheels off to measure as I had to have collar bone surgically repaired. The internet and this forum are amazing. I appreciate the all the feedback and help on this. 😃

sorry just looked it up...295 is the absolute widest you can fit on a 10 inch wide wheel. so ignore that part of what I said earlier. 285 would be the proper tire for that wheel width though.

255 is the max for a 8.5inch wheel.

beyond those recommended max fitments you'll have bulging of the tire

Okay I’m gonna pull the trigger on these. Hopefully they look good and fill the wheel wells just right. They are Vossen HC-1. 😃

I ran 20" in 8.5" and 10" for a while. offsets were +32 front and +42 rear. tyres were 245 on the front and 285 on the rear. i'm currently running a set of E500 wheels with a rear offset of +49 albeit they are only 8.5" wide.

if the rears end up being too close to the struts i'm sure you could get away with a 5mm spacer
