Yet another crankshaft pulley wobble, video attached.
Can someone please look at this and tell me if it's within the allowable tolerance or is my pulley going out. I have no problems other than just me noticing it today. Everything on the car is oem.

This is one of these that should just be changed. It is a wear item and if you have the money/time to do it, do it. It will cause a lot more problems if you just let go bad and fall off.

What you can't see is the backside condition of the balancer.
I recently changed the harmonic balancer on my '01 S500, and was shocked to see that the rubber was extremely damaged (about six inches of it).
on the backside of the balancer. It was ready to fail and was wobbling. I also changed the front crank seal. An easy job if you have the right tools.
I would change it before it becomes an expen$ive repair.

I agree it should be changed....now the question...where do you get a crankshaft tool from? All the ones I see are for the m113 and not m113k....i really don't have the time to fabricate one.

Try posting a "WANTED: M113K balancer tool rental". I've seen threads where members put down a deposit and borrowed the correct tool from another member.
