VRP pulley / tune

Thinking of doing a couple of small mods to my stock 2005 E55. Want to install an 80 mm VRP clutched pulley and their Eurocharged tune. I did proactively replace the stock IC pump with the Bosch 010 ( though I feels like the car actually heat soaks faster now for some reason ). Would I need to split the cooling for these mods? I don't track the car. This would just be for some extra oomph on the street.

Also, what size belt should I get if don't want to go the belt wrap kit route?

thanks!

You don't need split cooling. It doesn't help on the E55 like it does with the other supercharged AMG's. I know an 83mm uses the stock belt, sorry not sure about the 80mm.

I'd suggest an upgraded heat exchanger. Mine I think is a PLM and was pretty easy to install. I don't really notice heat soak issues. I have the 80mm pulley w EC tune as well

also, do you notice a difference between the 80 and the 83 mm pulley?

Yes you have to remove the front bumper but PLM is the easiest install. Yes you will notice a difference between 80 and 83. My personal opinion is that 83 is more than enough for the street but everyone is different.

I just installed 80mm VRP pulley, UPD belt wrap kit, PLM XL heat exchanger and did split cooling just in case. I have Race IQ tune and it feels more that enough power for me. No heat soaking but trying to battle traction now. Will probably try installing Wavetrac LSD to help with that.

Did you bleed the intercooler water circuit, after changing the pump?

honestly, do LTs first. 40whp and youre set up down the road with no detonation issues with higher boost.

I have LT's with cats. Definitely smells much better than cat-less.
