The New VRP 50LB Tensioner kits are now available! This tensioner kit is the next step for reducing or preventing the almost inevitable belt slip on small pulley setups on the M113k.
This kit is compatible with belt wrap kits and factory or aftermarket superchargers.
The VRP HD Tensioner kit allows you to install a GT500 compatible tensioner.
Kit includes:
Billet mounting bracket
Adjustable billet tensioner mount
Pin and hardware
Your choice of tensioner
Available in both 50lb and 20lb configurations. Compatible with all GT500 tensioners.
Would this provide any benefit to a car with a UDP belt wrap kit and UDP 5-pc idler pulley set? Trying to wrap my head around this and if it's worthwhile (or would it work?) if a car already has the BWK and idler pulley kit?

School me, please.
Yes, this replaces the factory 20lb spring tensioner with a 50lb. or if you choose the 20lb option it uses a larger tention arm, and a superior tension angle on the supercharger pulley.

Thank you. And what are the benefits from doing this upgrade going from a 20lbs to 50lbs tensioner on a car like mine with just an 83mm clutched pulley as the only power adder. I’m just trying to see if it’s something that I, personally on my car, can benefit from as I don’t have belt slip (or at least no noticeable boost loss anyway) and everything runs tight w the BWK and idler pullies on the car. Thanks again.

Increasing tention on the Belt will reduce belt slip, Slip occurs at high rpm, I may not have slip at low rpm but its highly unlikely you are not getting slip at 13,000 RPM on the SC
