Yeah, the reservoir bracket has been cut and screwed onto the fan housing. I can try to get some better pictures tomorrow maybe.
If possible, i'd try to mount the intercooler cooler at the front, so you get the best cooling effect on it. If you put the AC condenser in front, you won't be able to click the AC condenser in the mounts i believe. If you use the SL55 steering oil cooler, you can get rid of the E55 steering cooler and gain a lot of room and perhaps fit the whole thing in the front. The E55 steering cooler take the most space, since it makes a 90° bend towards the engine bay. I had to cut the plastic where it makes a bend, to gain some clearance.
The next mod(s) have arrived, but the weather is really poop at the moment here and i don't like driving and moving the car in the rain and cold, so i'll wait a few days before mounting them.
GT63 brake cooling ducts and Porsche 997 brake cooling ducts. Not sure how they will fit, but i'll just fiddle and try it out.
Besides that, i have a 2.82 diff and Kleemann camshafts waiting to go in the car I'm quite curious how the car will feel with different cams

Wow, you did get some fun stuff. Do you have headers? Cams seem to like headers from my experience. But not on MB, many years ago on American muscle stuff.
Yes, I figured the reservoir must have been attached to the fan shroud in some way. Pics would be great if you can get some. But, no hurry - especially if the weather is lousy.
I have been going back and forth on the possible intercooler locations. In the end, how to secure either the condenser or the intercooler or both in some way will likely decide how it goes together. If it actually does go together. But by removing the existing steering cooling system will open up possibilities.

upside, for me at least, is that h/x pushes oil cooler lower so bottom lip down, giving chin more pronounced look, making headlights appear smaller and front of car more rakish. i could have pulled oil cooler around to sit along bottom of h/x, but chose to leave it like that.
downside, is always worried radiator not getting enough air, altho driving with scanner connected suggests no difference in temps, maybe fan on more, and that for fitment, intake scoops deleted, metal side brackets trimmed, horn relocated behind headlight, and hood latch had to be made from slimmer metal bar, so you need bravery.

That's a large one. What are the general dimensions? Is it the only cooler?

You need to measure the IAT under engine load ideally under full throttle. Your intake air under cruising conditions will always be pretty much the same as ambient temp, because the supercharger bypass valve will most probably be open at cruising speeds and you're measuring air, that doesn't go through the supercharger. With a 74mm pulley you'll overheat within a few hard pulls I'd imagine, since the bottleneck is the intercooler under the supercharger. I'd like to see the IATs under full load when you hit 300kph on such a small pulley, because I'm certain you'll go over 60° and the ecu will retard ignition. Mine is a smaller stock pulley and has no bypass valve. I need to re test the system, once it's a bit warmer. While it was 2° and dry outside, the IATs were really good. Got to see how it is, when it's around 20°C outside.

Yeah I have different headers. That was actually the first performance mod I did on my car. Stock headers are the biggest bottleneck on these engines. Going from stock headers to mid length headers shaved off about 0.8s from my elastic acceleration from 100-200kph with stock software.

A fixed pulley does nothing unless you program the bypass valve differently or remove it (different software needed) (Umluft Klappe in the above pictures)
i thought if fixed pulley, then impellers always turning, essentially overriding bypass valve.
in other words, just want to know if i should have bypass delete with 74 fixed pulley. thx
The pictures show how it is set up. What's your purpose of a clutch delete? If the valve is open and your Kompressor is spinning you're not really generating boost. I have a 88mm clutched pulley and it's already near impossible to launch from 0...

I scored a very low cost used SL55 HE with the PS cooler. As it turned out, these are not nearly as available as the S55 - I'm sure due to lower production numbers for the R230. I consiering upgrading the stock type HE with a higher fluid capacity unit such as the PLM item at 2.25L, but I don't know the capcity of the stock unit. Do you know that capacity?
Did you look at the HE Mercedes used in the early to mid 2000 in the S and other models - part number 220 500 12 03? Any idea on the dimesions and capacity?

Yes, if I came across the M157 HE (099 500 32 03 - correct?) at a great price I too would grab it. I agree it does look larger, but I wasn't sure how much so compared to the older 220 500 12 03 unit. I can get that older HE for less than $75 compared to $400 - $500 for the M157 unit.
I think MB used that newer HE on no less than a hundred different models so there should be lots available on the used market. But there isn't. Hell, I can buy it from MB even with there MB tax for $400.
Tell me if I'm chasing dreams. Based on your calculations you have about 1,700mL from three HE (350mL, 500mL, and 850mL). I have estimated (based on your stated 350mL and the spec size of that unit) the volume of my recently acquired SL55 HE to 585mL. Then I will the PLM XL at 1,600ML (I'm chasing down a low cost of one of those units) and finally I use the smaller W220 wheel well unit ($60) that I'm guessing may be 500-600mL based on the volume on your 099 500 32 03 (but tell me if that is crazy). That would give me a total of:
SL55 585
PLM XL 1,600
Wheel Well 550
Total 2,735mL
Tell me where I'm missing something

Dang, yes, I do have the air pump in that space. I'm hoping to get the car up on the lift soon and start looking at how all of this may work. I'm sure I'll come across other obsticals that I have not yet been considered. And that is why I asked you to look over my shoulder. Good catch thank you.
You can modify the sway bars front and rear by drilling holes closer to the round bar front and rear. Makes big difference too body roll but depending on spring rate you might be fine with your coilovers? Im on arnott airmatic so it made a big difference. And get the Ultra racing brace that goes from gearbox mounts too front subframe that makes an enormous difference to these cars under braking and general handling.
