Going to the track tonight, launch advice?

Going to the Gainesville Raceway tonight to get some numbers before I have Kleemann Stage 2 intalled. How do folks who are getting the best times launch?
Tire pressure?
Powerbreak?
Burnout and is yes, how?
Traction control on or off?

I can't wait to beat some of thoes musclecar driving rednecks with a 4 door sedan. Thanks folks.

Leave ESP on and just floor it, that's the only thing that works.

2016 GLC300 sport
1)turn TC off
2)roll through the water box a foot or so and do a small 3-4 second burnout and drive out of it.
3)turn TC on.
4)Go to the staging lines, put the car in neutral, rev it once or twice.
5)put in Drive, make sure you are in M or S.
6)get revs to about 1500, get ready for the second yellow and go. Don't mash the gas right off the line, give it 1/2 throttle for the first 30-40 feet, then let her rip.
7)report back here with your times.

1. Use BF's Drag Radials 265/40 18
2. Hold the TC for 10sec
3. 10sec burn-out
4. Get on the line, make sure it's on S mode and on 1st gear, hold the brake pedal and take it up to 1,000rpm.
5. When the last yellow turns off the brake pedal and hammer down.

Regards,
Manuel

What does it do if you hold the TC button down? I heard some stuff about holding the reset button for 5 seconds within turning the key 2 notches to access the computer or something (basically different ways of "tricking" or getting into the internal CPU). So does actually holding down the TC button do anything?

Wow, this is a fast car. Best time was 12.56 @ 111.89 mph with a 60' time of 1.914. Thanks for all the tips! I can't wait for 2 weeks to get the Kleemann stage 2 installed and re-run it.

This way you fully eliminate the TC, try it out. Turn it off and do not wait the 10 sec, you will see that if you try to do a burnout the TC will activate, then try hoding it down for 10 sec and the TC is gone, that's how I dyno and warm up the tires at the track.

Manuel
