E55 went into C2 Designs in Tampa yesterday for Kleemann Stage 2, euro headunit & tv tuner, xm, Passport SRX, and PS2 tires. I'm picking it up on Friday and taking it STRAIGHT to the track. I'll post pics, dyno runs for before & after, and times for stock-kleemann comparison.

Excellent results! Nice improvement over the Gainesville runs. I was going to ask you about the Cecil, GA track - never heard of it before, but I did find info after doing some searches. Brand new track - what did you think of it?

Folks from Atlanta/middle GA have always sworn by Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA (http://www.silverdollarraceway.com/) as the best-maintained strip in the state, with greatest opportunity for benchmark statistics. I've known Ed Swearingen, the owner, for many years and he & his family are a class act. Sounds like the "South Georgia Motorsports Park" might give it a run for its money! Big prob for us Atlanta-based folks - 200 miles to Cecil, GA vs. 90 to Silver Dollar.

Really looking forward to your results (hopefully again at the Cecil GA location) after the Kleemann conversion. With cooler weather coming, ambient temps will definitely be on your side!

BTW, how many miles on your car now?

It's a beautiful facility. It's only been open for about 10 months. Everyone there is real nice. The track is concrete which I had heard was harder to hook on but seems I've had the opposite experience thus far.

I'd love to run Friday night in GA but I'm coming from Tampa. I'd have to pass right through Gainesville and drive another 90 miles out of my way (each way). Friday night's numbers will be from Gainesville but I will hit GA the next Friday night.

I've got about 2,500 miles thus far.

Concrete hooks much better. That's wht most tracks have a concrete launchung pad. Most street racers usually set up on concrete also.

Wow, great times! Any tips for a beginner like myself? I am itching to take mine to the track, I have never dragged before, so a little nervous. I have some friends who will be going with though. Anyone in AZ wanna go to Firebird one of these Friday nights for a "run what you brung"? In another month or so, we should have 60 degree evenings

Don't wait to see green and drive it like you stole it.

I'd try all different ways such as ESP on or off, burnouts and no burnouts, etc. My best times are still just stomping on it but I'm sure the car can do better with more touch.

Stage 2 is suppose to provide 595 hp and 620 ft/lb at the crank. My car dynoed 403 rwhp yesterday so I am expecting just a hair under or right at 500 rwhp on the dyno after they are complete.

My bad, no racing at Gville this Friday night. Orlando would be the closest but since I'm heading to Tallahasse, I'll just drive through to the Valdosta track. At least I'll then have the new numbers from the same track where I had the old numbers.

Every strip within 400 miles south and 200 miles north of me is closed. Looks like I'll be relegated to a Gtech time until I can get to a track.

Well, I definitely have some kinks to work out. Per the Gtech, I was running 12.1 and 12.2 at 119 mph with 2-2.15 60 ft times. Even with the PS2's on there, I can't get it to hook up right. I did about 8 runs and need more practice. It DEFINITELY pulls harder from the low end all the way up. It just wants to boil the tires. With ESP off, start at 1/3 throttle, floor it at 30 mph, and the rear end starts to go sideways.

So what's the quickest way to take off the rear 2 tires at the track and replace them with slicks? I assume 2 slicks will fit in the back. Anyone know what kinda jack is the best/easiest to use?

I use a portable 2.5 ton hydraulic jack that has its own carrying case (saves dirt & debris from the trunk or interior). If you don't already have jackstands, I'd suggest you pick up a pair at the same time you buy the jack. You'll need a pair of extra wheels - are you actually planning on running slicks (like ET Drags) or drag radials and in what size? I'd say go with a set of BFG Drag Radials, since the high (low numeric) rear end gearing and moderate stall speed of the converter probably can't take advantage of the grip offered by full slicks. Quite a few folks run DR's all of the time - I ran a set of Nitto drag radials on my Vette for almost a year, with no problems, even in the rain.

Get a couple of large tire bags - you may have to put one in the trunk & one in the back seat. Don't forget a good torque wrench and a portable air compressor, along with a quality tire gauge. Just my 2 cents.
