Front sway bar replacement with bushings
I have successfully replace sway bar now. I am putting everything back together. I have engine bar so it makes it all possible. Obviously alignment has to be done afterwards. Subframe doesn’t have to be dropped completely. About two inches from the frame it bolts on. This gives enough clearance to remove it and to instal new one in. It comes out to the front. Some wiggle and it comes out. Hope it will solve my creaking issue. Everything except for upper control arms had been replaced car is at 70K miles so not too high. Old bushings were not cracked. They look much thinner kind of pressed together much more than the new ones. All in all not horrible job. Pretty straightforward. There’s small 8mm bolt that holds bracket in front of bar on drivers side that has to be removed to release tension on one of the hoses and 13mm bolt needs to be removed above catalytic converter on driver side from steering shaft. I am going back to garage in about 15 to put this together.

in the garage. If one tries to approach this task. My symptoms were that when car starts moving forward from standstill, front end lifts up slightly. This caused creaking sound. Sort of like wooden ship type of sound if you know what I mean. Every time when accelerating. Again. Bushes itself are not replaceable. They come as assembly glued to the stabilizer bar. Easy to see when you have both side by side. So if you happen to have symptoms like mine this will probable a culprit. Have a good weekend everyone.

In front of the front subframe, there is a bracket that is in the way of the sway bar bolts. Here is a video explaining.
