Mr. Black,

This is the latest LED Fog Lights, that I just placed an order on along with their resistors.
https://www.superbrightleds.com/9006...b-base-5512798

Granted, I haven't received them, as I just placed the order earlier today. But, I'm pretty confident these will work, as it will have a resistor this time.
All, the other fog lights bulbs I order worked, but was flickering. So, you can order any LED Fog Light that will fit your vehicle, but order a resistor.
As these lights will not work without one. The only LED's that work without issues, were the Headlights, under-door puddle lights, the trunk and license plate bulbs.
The interior footwell lights are flickering, although they have canbus error free LED's. Error-free my a**.

Well, the fog lights bulbs didn't fit into the fog light hosing, so i sent them back for a refund. But placed an order thru Amazon for the correct ones, they will arrive today.
I know that these will definitely work, as I used the resistors with the other ones, and they worked like a charm, just didn't fit the housing.

What are you running for interior footwell lights? Since these lights are located under the dash, and the back of the drivers and passenger seats.
I replaced the 6418 bulbs with LEDs, but they are flickering. And I really don't want to cut any wires under the dash or the seats.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
only running LED's for front corners, fogs, and rear license plates. i prefer soft lighting of filament bulbs for interior or door.

I'm the exact opposite, I prefer the pure white light of an LED for the interior. But, since I have had any luck with interior LED's due to flickering issues, I might concede to running a filament again.
I am looking to replace the lights above my vanity/sun visor with a Sylvania filament bulb. If anyone has had any luck with LED interior lights, without have to tap/splice wires for resistors please let me know.

I use bright white as the primary interior bulbs for the doors but the map lights you click on to use I use red. Red is less harsh on the eyes if you need it while driving or someone else is using it. Especially if it’s for a longer period. I then also leave the makeup light as a standard bulb as the wife doesn’t want to be blinded by it if doing makeup.

What I'm truly on the hunt for is 6418 LED Interior Light Bulbs that have built in resistors, so that I can eliminate the need to tap/splice wires.
These resistors below allows the LED Lights to work with cars with canbus systems, and requires tapping and or splicing of wires. Which I don't want to do.
Does anyone know where I can find these 6418 LED Bulbs w/h built-in resistors?

I'm assuming that my canbus isn't liking the current LEDs that I have in, as the voltage can't be monitored, and that is why I'm getting flickering. These LEDs are supposed to be canbus error-free.
I will send the old ones back, when I get the new ones. However, they do come on, and stay on for a while, then when you stuck the door, they start to flicker.
I'm hoping that the new LEDs you recommended will do the trick. As I just placed an order for them to arrive sometime today.

Yeah hope they work out for you. I had an older version from a year or so ago before looks like they changed the ends to be adj length to save on production cost. I have used them in my E and G and haven’t had flickering

Well, I installed the LED Lights that you recommended, and they flicker just like the other ones. And they generate more heat than the LEDs, I'm currently using. One of them didn't work, so I'm returning them back to Amazon for a refund.
I think; that I'm going to just cut my losses and just give up on the whole idea of interior LED light upgrade. Nothing, I have tried to date has worked. And I have bought numerous LED lights, without any gratification.
I will just keep the ones I currently using and live with the flickering issue.

whenever I get my E back from the body shop I will check all my lights. I may order a few and check them in my car. If I dont have issues going to new bulbs I can send you my known current working ones and you can try them. If issues continue it may just be your car.

I do kind of recall that I may have had an issue but doing something to the light under the driver seat rear fixed the issues of flicker up front. I don’t know how much longer body shop will have it as they are going over a major body refresh and I haven’t pressed them for the car to be completed.

Curious as to what exactly a major body refresh consists of?

In short by car was in a minor accident in 2015 and totaled out. It then changed hands 4-5x until I bought it back in 2020. It then needed a new engine and lots of maint so it spent a year in ATL being worked on. It then came home in June2021 and chilled in the garage as I acquired all new carbon fiber pieces and other items that needed to be replaced. In June 2022 move to my friends shop to have them tear the body down to check all aspects of previous repairs and fixed all the damaged carbon pieces. Since I don’t drive the car there is no major rush and they are the best around and by not pressing them I don’t have to pay large amounts. They do lots of custom stuff for Mercedes directly.

Has anyone change out their overhead light bulbs for LEDs; such as the courtesy lights, sun visor lights and the light that separates the panoramic roof?
I've debated changing these, as past efforts with interior lights caused the dreaded flickering issues.

I didn't contact them, I just looked on their website to see if they had the bulbs, I'm looking for.
But all their bulbs are just for exterior applications, and nothing for interior, that I seen.

I just got off the phone with technical support from theretrofitsource.com Unfortunately, they could not guarantee that I wouldn't have flickering issues with their interior LED bulbs, as they weren't specific to my vehicle. So the hunt continues.....

I have LEDs for all my interior dome lights and whatnot, including for the map lights under the rearview mirror, working on the vanity lights next as well as trunk and glovebox lights when I get the time. Major improvement over the stock halogen ones. For some reason, the LEDs I put in the footwells flicker. I can tell they’re much brighter than the halogens I had before but oh well.

For some reason, the headlights on this era of Mercedes don’t like LED bulbs. Already tried it a few years ago in my E550. I instead installed an HID kit in that car and it lit up the entire road. I just installed one on my CLS55 as well. I rented a Nissan Altima back in May and the LEDs were so bright I never had to use the high beams, even on dark and wet roads. But in theory, HIDs are supposed to be brighter than LEDs. Doesn’t seem to be the case for me. My HIDs are bright but it seemed like the LEDs in the Nissan lit up BOTH SIDES of the road and sidewalks. Then again, I have 8000k HIDs in my car because I like the blue coloring. Might try 6000k next. 4300k are supposed to be the brightest but I had them in my Acura TL and they seemed much dimmer than my 8000ks in the benzes.

If you still have the original headlights, then the reflectors inside the projectors are probably burnt out and will benefit from replacing. I will be saving up for some new headlights as I don't want to tackle the job (will rather spent some time on other things )

My thread swapping out projectors and such might be of interest if you want LED performance in the HID setup. As these cars are old no bulb you put in these will perform that well. It takes new lights or swapping out the actual projector plus the Osram CBB bulbs are simply the best
