I only removed the plastic trim (2x torx bolts and round plastic retainer bolt in the back). I have pretty small hands, so after removing the trim I was able to sneak in there with 1 hand. The sensor needs 1/4 or 1/2 turn to remove it from the mounting point. After that unclip the electrical clip. If you are "handy", you can unhook the electrical clip first and then turn it to remove it from the mounting point.
There are 2 other temp sensors in the interior, 1 measures the temp of the aircon flow. Its pretty much in this location, but you dont need any tools to pry it out. Just wiggle it out.
The other one is in the Overhead Control Panel aka OCP, and uses the same design as the one below the steering wheel. Mine was broken (they all do), so I only replaced the thermistor with a new one. Some basic soldering skills is all you need.
