I'm in LOVE!

This car is simply the best car i ever had! Although i had it only for 2 days! I was driving it almost all day Today, I love the beast!!! It has so much torqe its unbelievable, I'm still breaking in the engine and taking it easy, but this car is so amazing you can overtake anything and not push the car more then 3500 rpms!!!

I love black color, looks classy just have to tint it with some light black tint to make it look better. I love the soundtrack of the car too, Love that rumble, I did two circles around my underground parking with radio off just to listen to the exhaust Parked it and then was walking around and watching at it for 5 minutes... The suspension couldn't be better its very comfortable and if you need you just put sport2 and here you have a harder suspension to take some corners.

I dont know why people whine so much about traction It was raining today and i was driving it not hard but pushed it 3-4 times, and only once i got traction control light on! I like the DVD nav it works pretty fast, Have to play with it more tho... Also what i like is that it plays mp3 files, no more burning Mp3s to music CDs and all that BS.... The seats ( non Dynamic ) are also amazing! I'm 1.87m and 110 kgs (That is 235 I belive) And they hold me pretty tight and adjusments comes handy!

The brakes are also one of the best brakes i ever had, although what i noticed is that they are not as sensetive as on previous models! But they defenetly stop the car fast and whenever you need to just in time!!

Harmon kardon is also pretty good, But to tell you the truth the sound system in my 745i i had was a little bit louder i belive for some reason, but still it's loud enough for every day driving...

Consumption First when i got the car it showed me this crazy 22 liters/100 km/h i was kinda dissapointed at first but then when i reset it it showed me around 16l/100 in the city and 13/14l/100 on the highway... Not bad at al if you ask me, my previous ML55 was eating 20l/100 in the city constantly!

What else... I think this car makes a complete pakage of comfort and every day sportiness just what AMG was working on i guess... To drive in Comfort and speed around, with effortless acceleration whenever you need it!

p.s just had to post all of that... I'm very excited!!! I still didnt cover alot of things, but anyway gonna go to bed now, Later!

bob, i'm with you man. i just got my beast on the 22nd and its killing me leaving her in the garage. i took her out for about 2 hours and then parked her. i have to study for a law exam for this saturday, so saturday night i'll really get to enjoy her. until then, study breaks involve my sitting in her and checking things out. the sound system is missing some bass, so i'm having a small sub installed.

congrats! i agree, this car is nice and understated, but can spank most everything out there.

Congrats guys

After you are past the breakin period, floor it hard and you will see the traction light go nuts. In the rain, its like having ESP off. I just changed to winter tires and stock rims with 245's in the rear and I need to change my driving style for these next few months. With the samller rubber contact in the rear it is insane.

Once you take it to the track and power launch, the fun begins!

New E55 guy here too! I've had the car for 6 days and I must say that it's getting better and better each time I drive the car. I haven't had any fun with other cars (ie. Corvette, M5, M3, etc.) but I'm sure the time will come. It's raining here today, but she's my daily driver so I get to drive her rain or shine. What a tuff life we have boys! :p :p

Yeah, the E55 is an amazing machine. I don't own one, but my mother-in-law has an 04 which I "borrow" every chance I get.

I had to drive down to Key West from Miami on Thanksgiving day for work, and I took the E55.

Unbelievable car. Like someone said above, you don't have to push the it at all to overtake most anything out there. Accelerating, braking, etc is completely effortless and smooth. And that exhaust note? (*touches self discreetly*)

Well said. With all of its stellar attributes this car is a bargain at its current price compared to all else on the road.

Congrats...nothing like piddling along @ 35-45 mph, then blipping from auto to 3rd and smashing the throttle...my friends still can't believe the torque that our car produces.

Have fun and stay safe.

Yeah, had my car for just over one year now, still brings a big smile to my face everytime I drive it.

Beauty is that you can drive it slowly and can still appreciate its solid chassis and elegant interior, gadgets.. If you step on it, it flies.

I agree, very good value for what you get.

Does 245 fit stock rim?

You have 245's in the front stock and AMG suggests snow/ice winter tires to also be 245's in the rear. I went with Dunlop Winter Sport M3 since they came highly recommended for our cars from Luke at TireRack.

My stock 18" are used as my dedicated winter tires since I live in MD. I have the Dunlop Winter Sport M3 on all four rims. My 19" AMG OEM rims(which are now on all the 65's) are for spring/summer/fall. Those have the 245's front and 275's rears.

Gun Metal. The 65's I think would be larger in the rear causing your tires to stick out slighlty. I think Tire Rack sells mine for around $1,200 a rim which are designed for E55 since in Germany you can order your car with these. Gives the car a much more agressive look and much more road feel.

Since putting my stock rims back on for the winter, they look so small.

Congrats. All you new E55 owners.

I have had mine 6 months and still look forward ot driving it.

Took it Penn and West Va 3 months ago. Remarkable car. Was doing 100 through twisites. About as much as my nerves could handle.

Now that it is real cold, I find stock tires slipping more even with no snow. Others have same experience?

I guess I will have to get snows soon.

After the one inch we had in Northern NJ a week or so ago, I found my car handled it pretty well. I am used to my old car (GS400) and I know it would have been all over the place with even that little snow and some ice. This car handled it 100 times better. This wasnt a true test with significant snow, but I put a lot more trust into this german engineered ESP than the garbage that Lexus packaged with my old car.

The styling looks great from the outside; pure elegance. And from the inside the interior is simply gorgeous. It also has all those nice technologies onboard such as keyless go, parktronic, distronic, AMG speedshift etc etc.

And not to forget the beast itself... there are not much middleclass cars with all those HP and torque.

What can I say... Germans know how to make great cars
I’m saving money for the estate version of the E55

Hope I can buy one soon.
