They all look very similar....too similar. CLK looks nice. I've been thinking about the new S-class, but here in FL they are all over the road. E55, however, quite rare. Excluding my own, I've only spotted three since 2003.

If Mercedes goes through with those designs there is no doubt that I will be first on the list for the new M5. Those are the most hideous, repulsive vehicles I have ever seen. Those grossly misfitting fender flares and gapingly wide grilles such as that of the "C Class" are two examples of the disgrace MBZ has imposed upon their once elegant and classy designs.

I like the new more aggressive look, especially in the S Class. The CLK cab looks like a Lexus SC though. Overall I think they are a hell of a lot nicer than the lastest run of BMW's.

That's my thoughts exactly...right now, when we come down the road...you know it's a Benz. Some of those are sure to get "hey, check out the Starfire....no wait, sorry the Lexus...errr, what the heck is that? Huh, it was a Benz"

I love the S, C, and CL. Is BMW genius or what? 2007 MB designs tends to be copying BMW?. Check the headlight... they have the eyebrowse style like 5 series E60.... Left-Right Body chasis... they no longer have the center bar...

I agree totally with Peter B. We should do lunch some time b/c it seems we are both on the same page on this one. I finally see what I believe has been missing for some time on the Benz's... An agressive stance in their vehicles.
I hope they look as close to these pics as possible. I'm sure they will look awesome in the "flesh" as does the CLS.

I think the grilles are especially hideous. The lights have a BMW look to them. The CLK looks like the BMW 6 series. Why is MB trying to look like BMW?

As they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I personally think that this is a more aggressive look that will bring in more drivers/owners. I highly doubt that they will lose sales to those "butt ugly" BMW's with their ridiculous I-drive or Lexus's that are as bland as white bread.

This month's Automobile(Road and Track??) has a picture of an S classe mule that is very similar to the photo posted here. I think thta's what we can expect for '06. To my eye it's an appropriate, good looking evolution.
