What can I do to improve my intake?
I have done the K&N drop in filters but I was wondering if there is anything more I can do to improve the set up. Are there better filters or hoses out there?

Reduce your IAT, high temperature tells the DME to retard timing and this can drop your power. I currently use COOL IT insulation mat that I fabricated and wrapped on my Gruppe M intake tract as well as the MAF unit with a velcro for easy removal. The insulation reduces the rate at which heat is conducted from outside the tract to inside allowing the air moving inside it to cool faster, and reducing the rate at which heat rises inside the tract when speeds are low. It's an inexpensive investment at $40 and sure to prove it's benefits during the summer's three digit heat here in the valley area.

Yesterday I ran 5 gallons of 110 octane race gas and mixed it with 15 gallons of 91. I wanted make sure my car wasn't retarding the timing. With the race gas the car does have a bit more power but not worth the $5 dollars a gallon.
