Dropped the E55...

I got my E55 back today after getting the car dropped. Ride quality is just as good as stock IMO and looks much better. LMK what you all think:

No module. Took Peter B's advice and went w/ lowering links for the front and adjust the rear sway bar for the back. Easy to adjust and put back to stock if desired.

MBAMGPWR,

One question though... At that height, what happens when you are on the highway and ECU attempts to drop the car an additional 0.4"??? Wont it be TOO low at that point?

Did you install the droplinks yourself?

I had my shop that I always go to do the drop. I've already taken it on the highway and I've had no problems with the drop. I've only had it done for 1 day, so I'm still deciding if this is my final height or not. I can get it adjusted in 15 minutes.

Is it me, or is it just a little low in the rear?

It sits just above the fender, check the pic. If I wanted a gap, I would have left it stock.

This is a quote I printed out from Peter B when I took my car in for the install...

"ben at (name deleted, pm if interested) has what are called lowering links (oe german mercedes parts). basically the same link the car has to lower or raise the car but instead of being fixed it is adjustable with a locking nut. he sold me 4 but my mechanic only needed 2 for the front and adjusted the rear sway bar adjusting point for the suspension. the cost is $125 a piece for the 2 and 3 hours installation. # is (delted, pm if interested). its adjustable by sliding the link then re-tightening the link with the adjustable locking nut on the front links then adjusting the rear to accomodate. ive had for about 300 miles and not bottomed out or anything. if you need to cross a spped bump just hit the suspension up button."

Looks good, I just meant it looked lower in the rear than the front, at least to me. Wish it was that simple to lower a W210.

Nope both the front & rear measure the same (the front sits a bit lower). No worries though, I can adjust in 15 min. easily. I took the car on the hwy today at 100mph with no problems. I still might adjust the front a bit higher, but it's not a big deal...

When you want to adjust it, do you have to bring it to the shop? Any special tools required to do this?
