E63 AMG BiTurbo Crushes the 1/4 Mile

also from what i have read, the meth tune is not that aggressive (not advancing the timing a lot) so that if meth fails and failsafe fails, the ecu still can compensate and pull timing enough to protect engine

As of right now... we're not really sure what turbo upgrade helps. There are quite a few turbo upgrade options out right now, but not many of them will show the results. People can talk all about methanol and how risky it is, but upgrading turbos on your car without proper tuning is risky as well. As far as I'm concerned, this seems to be the best setup (for the money) right now for the M157.

i thought we were saying in the other thread that "e French" was so quick at the airstrip event because he was running renntech turbo upgrade?

he had a hidden turbo upgrade (probably stage 1 renntech turbo, not stage 2), its been discussed many times... the numbers results in his 1/2 mile events back up upgraded turbo claims (162-164mph 1/2)
do the math, he beats :
-mclaren 650s with little problem and they trap 135-138 in 1/4
-lambo huracan with no problem and they run 10.6/133 stock
- BMS terry burger M5 shop car that traps 127 (beat this car by bus lengths)
how does a tune only e63 beat cars that trap 133-138?
i cant wait to get my W4 kit and call it "tune only" and set all sorts of "tune only" records lol
do the math, he beats :

So why is everyone saying no turbo upgrade gives this car any significant power gains over tune only on stock turbos??
