Looking to buy, what kind of discounts should I be expecting?

I'll just wait if it's just 6%. I'm not in a rush, just hoping the fiancee's mdx will hold up. :O
Contacted 3 dealerships so far. No hint of budging on the MSRP.
A friend just gave me contact information on a dealership in North Jersey that he is close friends with the owner. Just placed a call out. Will see what he can offer...
I'd personally be hard pressed to get a W212 at MSRP right now. Perhaps the current n/a W212 will see the kind of discounts the 2009 W211s saw (30k off) when the W212 gets the new turbos. And now any resale value is going to shift dramatically with all the 6.2s.

My current lease ends 5/2010. So I have to get something...
I considered buying out my current car and waiting for the next generation M5 or E63 that will come with FI, but the residual value on my car is too high.
And a lease works better for me from a business perspective.

The w212 e63 that I'm buying is actually for my fiancee. We are going to keep it stock, so it doesn't matter if we get the N/A motor or the TT motor. The chasis and suspension setup most likely will be the same so it won't make a difference to us.
But that might be too painful
I'm waiting until the F10 arrives. In a few years I'll do a TT E63 or F10 M5. I bought my 2009 W211 outright but it was heavily discounted so I'll just keep it as an extra car.
The concern is the value of a new n/a E63 down the road. Also it's not so much about easy modding of a turbo, but there's the daily driving low end available torque, and the much better gas mileage. As much as I like n/a motors (sound, throttle control, etc..) the FI is better for real world everyday driving on the street. I remember Walter Rohrl always arguing for n/a on the track and FI for the street.
But BushB is right, it will be just a motor change (and probably some other tweaks and some new options.) So the decision is mainly about n/a versus FI and value issues.

Any luck with any of the other dealers out there in pricing the E63? Can't believe they wouldn't move off the MSRP...
you can find plenty on ebay motors new with 7-8k off msrp. You prob know what options and color you want. Just have it shipped to you and save 8k. Screw the dealers you are talking to.
