I want an exhaust with loud and nice sound for my new e63

I have been looking for an exhaust for my e63 amg but it seems to be too early to find any, i would like suggestions of good sounding exhausts that wont require me to change the tail pipes, thanks

Well your best bet is to find a tuner shop that can custom make u a mid section exhaust with the new E63 they already have a nice exhaust note to them but im sure if you delete the resinator and secondary cats it will give it a even aggresive note. Im sure u could find someone to do a S.S custom exhaust system. Thats the route alot of other M.B guys have gone atleast hope that helps.

We have x-pipes and headers for the motor for c63 but not for the E63. We Will be more than happy to develop x-pipes for your car. Below are videos of how they sound. I think it is exactly what you would be looking for.

Car Whore
No need -- just remove the rear resonators ... should be an easy $150 job at any muffler shop.

for my 2010 E63 i removed the resonators and secondary cats.. then went in and replaced the Primary 600 cell cats with 200 cell high flow.

It is loud. very, very loud.

Nice, but is it too loud?

I think just the resonator delete should do the trick, no??

+1 ..... Resonator delete gives a very aggressive tone... should definitely do the trick.

it was a little too loud.. i think you'll be fine with just the resonator delete - but decide for yourself.. here is the video of secondary, resonator, and primary cat delete..

Thanks Fonz, that might be just a bit too loud for me although my M3 is straight piped from the header back with some little cans.... loud too but more appropriate for a spirited coupe than a luxo cruiser.

maybe I'm getting old, but I think amg really got it right from the factory... I guess my neighbors also appreciate the fact that their alarms are not set off any more..

LOL

I couldn't agree more! for a e63, it's a little different than an M3. BTW, nice cars! The porsche and GTR are a dream come true. Both in the garage at the same time is a wet dream!

I'm new to this forum and I was thinking the same thing.. I was thinking about cutting out the secondary cats and placing cutouts in place of them. Would this be too loud? One of my buddys has this done to his srt8 and it sounds amazing.
