Hey guys,

As the title state, I am a proud new owner of the W212 AMG! Although I have never owned an AMG vehicle until now I do have a 2008 E60 M5 and a 2010 C300 (for the wifey). I am pretty active on a 5series.net and mfest but new to this forum. I am looking forward to the wealth of information and possible meets!

i'll have to join you guys on the next one. Please let me know when the next one is!

Yeah E's done a fantastic job with the bmws. i just had breakfast with him this morning and we discussed a new exhaust and scoops for the W112. If there is a market, i believe he's going to test one out soon. If we can get enough people interested, he'll have one available asap.

Thats very similar to my convo with him last week... he said min r and d for exhaust is 30k and he was not sure of the market. Im going to do the resonator delete asap and then see from there. LT headers will make the power this car needs up top---- Right now there are few companies that have them but the pricing is not cheap.

since i'm new here, i'm sure you can answer this better than i can. Do you think there is a market for an exhaust and scoops? based on the m5 prices you can expect a full gt exhaust to run in the neighborhood of 2800-3200.

I think there could be- he would probably need to move at least 20 pieces though... maybe less maybe more- its his call. I, personally would only want it if there are gains in HP thru the range along with TQ. The factory exhaust sounds great and with a resonator removal it gets even better. So it would have to be similar to the gains I got on M3 from him.

Vic - How much louder do you think it gets (with the res delete) and do you get drone on the highway? I've seen some vids on youtube and some of them are too loud (albeit i think some of those guys did more to it than just res delete)

m5board.com is THE forum to be on for BMW M action. Congratulations on getting REAL torque though, E63 always beats M5 in straight acceleration!

I think its marginally louder but for me I dont mind the extra exhaust note, in fact I want it. I drove my E63 home last night and could barely hear the exhaust except under heavy load. It just is not enough for me but remember Im coming out of header back exhaust in the M3 and straight piped GT-R with just cans.

I love noise!!!!! I have rode in a W211 E63 stock with just resonator delete and its perfect!!!!

Congrats on your new ride!!! I know, it's an exciting feeling waiting for the wheels to be done. As usual, your E will be put together as tastefully as your other cars

20 pcs might be tough, gauging from how very few w212 amg owners out there. If you have experience with RPi products, i'm sure you know well enough that they won't manufacture something that doesn't produce gobs of power.

Depending on the color wheels that you get, if you're going with the all black wheels I think a color of yellow calipers would look real hot, even orange if you want to get crazy..

If you're going with a brushed look, paint them red.. Can't wait to see the car..

I might go conservative with red calipers and white logos... it matches the tails well. The wheels are textured black split 5's from HRE in 20 inch format- 20x9 and 20x10 (C97's).

Yellow is a thought though???
