My 1st run today!

Coming from my evo stage 2 E55 i must say i kind of miss it.... tonight i raced a 135i with a tune and open exhaust from 60-120 and we were neck and neck he let off at 120 i wanted to keep going and see what happend upstairs.... he couldnt do any more pulls tonight but i will have a rematch with it and plan on taking to 160mph .... on a side note i spend the whole day driving a M6 convt with intake, exhaust and pullies.... i am not sure whether or not my 63 will take it... anyways this race got me angry, i need more power!!! anyone seeing any worth while mods??? i have 5k miles fyi guys....
p.s My 55 would have made breakfast of that 135i

I would defintely go with a race precision/Ess tune then maybe a dyno proven exhaust.

How much boost did the BMW run?

Comparing a stage 2 E55 with a stock E63 . A stage 2 E63 (tune and Long Tubes) will = a stage 2 E55(pulley tune)

im not sure exactly how much boost but i know he has a JB3 tune and i electronic open valve. probably making somewhere in the mid to upper 300 whp range.
Im really not sure that headers and i a tune on the 63's can compare to a Stage 2 55.... i thought i wouldnt mind anymore because i love the car, but that really got under my skin....

NA mods < FI mods. the gains you can get from a tune w/FI is insane. you won't be able to get as much from the NA engines but a tune, pulley, exhaust will definitely make a big difference. My M5 is heavily modded and pulls on AMGs, Lambos, Porsches, etc.

Those n54 335s are no joke tho. up to about 120 they're are extremely strong, it's upwards of 120 is where they lack.

Agree , a stock 63 would murder a stock 135, and be equal to a stock 55. Modded 63 should also pull away from a JB3 car after 90 mph. They are quick as hell off the dig and you reel em in after about 800 feet of WOT.

Have fun with yer 212's I hate you

the E63 should have no problems killing a stock M3 or M5. Now a modded m5 is a different story....

M6 verts are P I G pigs weighing almost 500 lbs over the coupe--- but with his mods he should get reasonably close to stock or maybe better...It will be a good race.

Well...after hitting 1000 miles I went up against a vette tonight. As much as I hate to admit, I gotten beaten real bad....I had a jump on the highway and that thing still blew right past me without effort. S+ mode and pedal to the metal, nothing much I could have done.

I suspect it was a Z06.

physics, same hp, much heavier E63 creates a near 100 hp advantage for the Z. From a dig you can win up to the point traction is attained by the cor vet

Your 63 will get faster , just keep driving spirited.

enjoy,

Dont feel bad thats a whole different animal!!!! i actually been in hunt of a Z06 for a little while now... i think in a couple months i will pull the trigger on that. unsurpassed power that thing has ..... Power to weight = insanity (z06).. also that car with basic bolt on, more aggressive cam and tune they make upwards of over 550 WHP and run down zr1's.... no need to feel bad losing to an all out race car with a 4 door luxury car....
