OE Tuning tuned my stock W212 E63 at Gintani!
This past Saturday, I got a chance to go and visit the Gintani Shop in the LA area and met up with Jeremy of OE Tuning. Alex, of Gintani, and Jeremy both operate out of the same shop and have been tuning up some serious machines lately.
Jeremy has tuned most of my previous cars including:
W211 E55
W215 CL65
E63 M6 (6 different and improving tunes during a 2 year period)
E92 M3 (3 Tunes to adapt to different mods over a 1 year period)
997TT (5 Tunes to adapt to different mods over a 2 year period)
and now I wanted to see what he could do with a bone stock W212 E63.
First off- read this!!!!!!!! The dyno (Dyno Dynamics Heartbreaker) we used at Gintani is beyond low reading!!!!! Anyone who has taken their car there will attest. Dynos can be maninpulated up and down. The purpose here is to see what the gains are OVER THE CURVE and to keep all the conditions as stable as possible and to the tests at the same time. This dyno just got a new software update and reads even lower than before. Before the upgrade, a lambo with exhaust mods dyno'd at 313 hp and 275 tq. A C6 Vette with intake and exhaust mods came in at 323 hp and 321 tq. Keep in mind that these two cars were pre software update dynos. The bottom line is my car feels great and this is in comparo to many fast cars that I have and do own. The purpose of the dyno, again, is to show the gains off the tune. I think the 20 inch wheels didnt help
If this was done on a Mustang Dyno or DJ, Alex said the numbers would be in the mid 400's. He tunes and mods boatloads of E9X M3's and the full bolt on cars are making about 350hp on his dyno. These cars trap from 115-119 mph.
We did two pre tune pulls and use the best of the two for the chart. Then without moving the car or changing any of the fans- Jeremy did his magic. Keep in mind that the ECU on this car is in the passenger wheel well so we removed it with the wires intack and placed it on the fender with the hood on top of it. We then did two more pulls and car put up these numbers with just the tune.
Id say this is a pretty solid gain at peak but also thru the curve where everyday usable hp and tq is so important. The car feels stronger and faster. I did a few runs to 150 and the car moves. Its no GT-R or 997TT but then its not supposed to be.
+29.3wHp@6450rpm & +30wTq@4200rpm, CA91 pump gas
These are the meaningful numbers to me.

Nice gains. Actually a little better than I had expected from just a tune on this car. How many miles are on the car now. Everyone keeps talking about how these cars wake up after full break in.

Nice gains!
my buddy had OETuning on his C63 here in Taiwan aswell.
but now he sold the car and got himself a GT3RS... what a lucking guy.
and he put the Akrapovic Racing system on already now he just needs a intake and a OEtuning file![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I know you will enjoy it for sure.

LT's for sure will delete the primary's, but you could keep the secondary's I think? You wouldn't see as much gain with them though. If it's an Evosport race exhaust, you would have LT's, X-pipe and depending how loud you want it, resonator delete or in place and than stock mufflers. With that set up you would have the best results in power, compared to replacing just the secondary's with an X.

Nice gains Vic. My buddy got an OE tune on his E63 the week before and his gains were basically identical. And that was during 100 degree weather! He even found out his old tune from another company lost power over stock LOL.

My car gained another 11RWHP from the old Kleemann tune on a dyno with a DA of almost 2500. Jeremy is A+ , especially when TTM is involved !

There is definitely a SOTP change- TQ down low is clearly felt and just a better pull thru the range. I ran 152 mph the other day in Mexico and the car just felt like it got there faster. This is the beauty of the tune- truly usable power thru the curve and not just a peak which is rarely hit.

Vic, was this a custom tune or a one time box tune? Meaning did Jeremy flash the car a few times and fine tuned it on the dyno with each flash or was it just a single flash?

Im sure if we went to multi we could had some bigger gains. Also we did no cool downs, ran 3 baseline runs (after I drove for an hour to get there) and then did the flash (15 min max) and then 2 more post runs. And Poof I was out!!!!!!
