Hello.

Rather new to the W212 as I am thinking about purchasing one. Currently drive a W211.

What is the exterior difference in the body styling between the W212 E63 and the Sport W212?
1. Fins in front spoiler.
2. Rear diffuser.
3. Dual exhaust.
4. Trunk deck spoiler.
Anything else?

Would appreciate the help. Too lazy to find 2 pics of the car and compare side to side.

One of them has a kick *** v8 under the hood. Thats the only difference you need to know.

You should be able to see the comparisons on either the MB site or the picture thread in the W212 forum vs the AMG 212 picture forum. If you want to go for the incremental price (probably 45-50k difference) but you can do a build your own on at www.mbusa.com and get to an exact number. I wouldn't hesitate to go for the AMG if money wasn't the issue.

If the exterior differences carry that much weight, you missed the point of the E63.

I see no problem with your question. Adding a few more "styling" differences:
- Front track
- Front wheel fenders
- Configuration of running lights
- Overall height
- Brakes (you can see them through the rims!)

And of course you have more "styling" differences inside:
- Seats (badges)
- Placement of the shifter
- Instrument cluster

to name a few...

Personally I prefer the exterior appearance of the E63 more than the E550 sport. Nothing wrong with aesthetics being your principal criteria.
However as it was suggested before, this was not the principal reason why I bought the car...

Holy hell, '07-'08 E63's are dirt *** cheap. Gotta love the depreciation on these things!

As for the styling differences, there are quite a few, but they're subtle. The most noticeable are the slightly differently styled front bumper and LED's, and dual exhaust tips on each rear side, and of course wheels (which the '11 E350/E550's have an option for a sort of "poor mans" AMG styled wheels).

If you're planning on making an E63 poseur, exterior mods are one thing, but if you false-badge, you have committed the lousiest "sin" of the car world.
